Class Buzz: Urban Meyer’s 2006 recruiting class haul headlined by Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin was epic, but he also signed other stars like Riley Cooper, Brandon Spikes and unsung hero Brandon James. This group was part of two SEC Championships and two national championships. Tebow won the Heisman as a sophomore as the headliner of the class, but Percy Harvin still remains the most electrifying player I’ve ever seen with the ball in his hands. Eight NFL players are from this class alone, and this group finished their career with a 48-7 record overall. This class remains one of the best in the history of college football.

I guess it depends on how you count Cam Newton. I guess if you count him fully you have to agree it would be '07. Still, its hard to rank a class with Percy, Tebow and Spikes anywhere but #1. Hard to believe we win the mnc in '08 without any of those 3. I'm not sure the argument could be made with any single individual in that '07 class though certainly there was more depth in that class.

The article did count Cam (why wouldn't you, he was in the class) and ranked '07 number 3. Alabama '08 was 2nd (the argument can also be made that this was in fact the best).

Is an interesting comparison, 07 was quite loaded. Lakeland kids (4 pros right there), Haden, Hernandez, Dunlap, Wilson, Henry (why he can't find a job right now is beyond me), Thompson, Wright. You all may have a very good argument.
