Live Report from the Arena
There seems to be a 50/50 split in the crowd. We even started an Orange and Blue chant back and forth. Hopefully the team matches our intensity this second half. Refs aren't helping us and we need Murph to stay in the game. We will be loud in the second half. Go Gators!

I was there going nuts for the Gators. Tried my best to taunt UGA players during quiet moments... Especially sarcastic cheers for KCP. And yes, we all hated whinesomemoreavic. I asked him to go back to Europe where diving is celebrated. On the really hard foul late I made a comment about football season being 7 months away. Of course, some old fart yelled directly at me about Louisville but I quickly reminded them about 2008, 2006, 1996 all in my lifetime and asked him about how many in his.
Go Gators!

Patric was swiped across his face a few times and he was rattled. Billy has to keep him close, remind him how bad he really is and not get too upset. I think he did that tonight because Patric came back.

I may have actually sold the Gator faithful short. May have been more like 60/40 Florida crowd. Embarrassing for Jawja to say the least!

UGA basketball is an absolute joke. They don't compete in the slightest. Dribble around, run a crap play with :08 on the shot clock, heave up a pile of poo and pray it goes in.

The best part was watching the mass exodus around the 4 minute mark. That and taking note of the 75 students in the "student" section.

What ever happened to the concept of Sportsman/womanShip?????
I hope you realize that such activities reflect negatively on the team for which you root.
I recognize that my Old School approach of treating opponents with respect is not very popular in today's "Me FIRST" - "US FIRST" - "Everyone Else Belongs in the Trash Heap" philosophy. But realize that you may well be working alongside either players or rooters for the opposing team as you go through life.
This is a very temporary phenomenon, and certainly not worth demeaning yourself over.

I agree, but I think it goes further than that. Chanting ORANGE & BLUE in the opposing team's stadium is behavior unbecoming of a guest. Even at our home games, I think it's pretty rude for fans to yell while the other team has the ball. It's unfair to try to distract the opposing team while allowing for your own team to peacefully run their offense. Distracting free throw shooters is even more appalling. He doesn't show up at your job and try to distract you from doing your job. The whole idea that fans are part of the atmosphere is disturbing. It's not like it's just a game and it should not be taken too seriously. If everybody could just sit quietly and observe, college basketball would be a much more respectable sport.

The announcers wouldn't admit Djurisic took a dive even after it was clearly evident on the replay. They continued to say, Yguette hit him with a forearm.
There was minimal contact and unless the Georgia Rooskie has dimplmatic immunity, he should have been charged with a foul and stopped the charade.

The Orange and Blue chants were great. the UGA fans tried to drown it out, but they didn't do a great job. Huge props to our fans that showed up!
