This tells me that adding another DE is still considered a position of NEED by the staff. As we are in it for Daniels, top 2 for Ogundeko (and I think WE are the reason he keeps pushing back his announcement date), still won't quite on D. Walker and now another quality player like Bower is visiting.
We know we only have a handful of spot left, but I am pretty confident, at least one of them will be a DE.

I wonder if some of this means that the staff feels that Fowler will out grow his current position and be forced to move to interior Dline. I have a feeling if he wanted to, Fowler could get up to 310 by his junior year and still be a very quick athlete.

Elijah Daniel has some academic hoops to jump through. I think we want him the most, but we are suddenly getting after a lot of big athletic DEs in the event that our admissions department doesn't allow him to come in for an official visit.

Fowler's not moving inside, not next year anyway. Maybe he moves to the strong side and Bullard moves inside. You don't waste sub 4.6 speed on DTs.

Ya, I agree with you. I'd even go so far to say that they won't ever change positions their whole career with the Gators. I can see Bullard slipping inside, but even then, I just don't see it. Some of the DT's we've been recruiting can handle the inside. Bullard and Fowler are great where they are at. No need to change that dynamic of the Defense.

I have a feeling Bullard will play outside and inside next year just like Floyd and Easley have done. There are some DE's that the staff will want to get on the field and sliding Bullard inside will free up some snaps at DE

Powell's returns to the Buck or OLB to get Fowler, Bullard, Easley & Jacobs to get the best on the field at the same time? I wonder if Powell could play MLB? Same size as Spikes, but maybe faster.

I read where McCalister did a great job for the scout team this year, receiving several of the weekly awards given out by Muschamp. Has he gained weight? I know he came to UF weighing about 220 lbs. That's awfully skinny for a guy that's 6' 6".

Regarding McCalister, I have also read rave reviews on him from the coaches and also saw where he is reported to be up around 245 pounds now.

This from Zach A. on Tashawn Bower's visit:
For the Gators to flip him, Bower said he wants UF to recruit him harder than any other school from now until National Signing Day.
“I actually grew up a Gator fan, but I never really considered them in the beginning because the coaches didn’t recruit me that much,” Bower recalled. “Things have started to pick up this month because they missed on some guys, but I still want to see more from them.”
I'm glad I'm not recruiting Tashawn. I wouldn't have the patience to deal with a kid who needs his ego stroked to such a high level. It makes me wonder about his true willingness to consider UF or his coach ability once he's on the team. I'd be inclined to take him at his 8 visit word.
