Duke will never be in the SEC. They do not fit...at all. They are a joke in football and don't care about it, and a lot of their students are from the Northeast (and my big sister is a Duke grad so I'm very familiar with them). Culturally, they just do not fit with large state schools in college towns which are crazy about football - and that describes almost everybody in the SEC.

Would cast my vote in favor of UNC and VT. And as far as that silly talk of fsu, never,and I dam mean never,would I be in favor of helping secure their future.

VT and NC State. NC State isn't a top-tier football program, but considering Duke/Carolina are attached at the hip and like the ACC it's our best shot at North Carolina state access.

Plus VT/NC State are excellent academic schools

Hope it's one of UNC or state. Dealing with the ACC slant on everything in NC got old the moment I moved here plus trying to watch the 3:30 CBS games in a sports bar is a drag - always delayed for the smash mouth ACC noon games due to satellite carriers not having local digital channels.

Whatever is going to happen is not imminent.
On the A&M boards there is a summary of a meeting with their president, and he said it is possible we will here on the SEC network in the next few days. If there was even a remote chance of the landscape shifting soon and us gaining market share we would wait because it would increase our leverage, and we are only allowed two look ins for the life of the contract - if we burned another in a year or so we would be handcuffed for anything else that happened.
This is the thread there, it's ling and mostly A&M centric.

It is obvious you did not read my post but just wanted crap somewhere online. I assure you I did not rave and I am no lunatic. I did not present this is what the SEC desires. It is however what the Big 10 is after and that IS the topic of the thread.
