Sugar Bowl itself...

First timer to a bowl game and will admit bought from stub hub so going wasn't expensive and only live couple hours from Nawlins. It was the first time being inside the super dome and it was impressive. I don't think there really is a bad seat. I had a upper deck seat near the 20 yard line and before kick off moved to the 50 yard line because of empty seats.

As for the "bowl" experience it really wasn't anything special. The only fan perk was a cheap plastic bag with a picture of the mayham guy on it. The opening was the big flag ceremony which is always fine of course. Halftime, a lot of band members filling the field for ten minutes and that was about it. I guess i was expecting more flash for a bowl game especially if someone was paying $135 bucks.

Outside of that, always fun in Nawlins for food alone.

Glad you liked it. If you think there's not a bad seat in the place, though - try sitting in the lower section, between about the 20s or so. I believe you'll change your mind. 😊

IMO their game "presentation" was horrendous.
-PA announcer sounded like Elmer Fudd and seemed to have limited football knowledge
-replays, when they showed them, were useless and bad angles
-would play music at some weird random time but lots of dead air
-halftime entertainment was just high school bands making noise
-they have escalators to the upper levels, just didn't turn them on after game, so they became bad staircases
-bathrooms are 70's era
-limited tv screens in concourses...you get better in most college stadiums
-I believe they installed new seats after Katrina, and still didn't put in cupholders

I've been to fiesta, Gator, Orange, Citrus, Outback, Peach....this was the worst game production.

Loved every minute of Nola outside the superdome. Can't say a single bad thing about that city

superdome--even with post-katrina renovations, still and old, out of date stadium (1976), not built for the current sports environment. They need to tear it down and build a state of the art stadium with all the bells and whistles.
