I teach military history at the graduate school level. Try reading some. There are many great books that have been written since the collapse of the USSR, and the opening of their files, as well as the de-classification of our own files after 1995.

And no, I do not have an agenda. What I wrote are FACTS.

Sounds like more Right-Wing conspiracy nonsense.

I'm sure you'll also tell me that FDR knew in advance that the IJN was going to attack Pearl Harbor on December 7th, but sat on the information in order to make sure the U.S. was "all in" on joining the war.

This kind of conspiracy theory junk has been around since 1945.

Just because you say something is a fact, doesn't make it one.

Gosh, I really wonder what happened to all of that stuff. Surely a good result was achieved with it.
Do you really think that we just gave them ALL that money when the ones in-charge didn't really have too?

Someone's got bails of cash stashed somewhere.

Anything but admit that primary reason to go to war turned out to be false.
Except that it really wasn't the primary reason. It was the cover. The primary reason was the Quixotic belief that we would be able to cultivate and establish a solid ally, who would allow us to put bases on their territory and serve as a solid jumping off point should anything else potentially affect the flow of oil. Also the equally Quixotic notion that it would serve as a grass plug, if you will, for the spread of Democracy in the region.

Democracy among Theocrats. How utterly laughable!
