I teach military history at the graduate school level. Try reading some. There are many great books that have been written since the collapse of the USSR, and the opening of their files, as well as the de-classification of our own files after 1995.

I'm sure you'll also tell me that FDR knew in advance that the IJN was going to attack Pearl Harbor on December 7th, but sat on the information in order to make sure the U.S. was "all in" on joining the war.
This kind of conspiracy theory junk has been around since 1945.
Just because you say something is a fact, doesn't make it one.
