To be fair to the Cats, it's not like you can waltz into Robert Morris' gym expecting to win. Especially when luck(y) starts going upside your head.

Actually, from the Gator's perspective, it would have been better had those two teams made it to the NIT finals.

Seriously, don't tug on Robert Morris's cape.
Ahhhh schadenfreude, a tasty beverage!

Not even close. Only thing that would have made it better is if UK managed to lose that game at Rupp.

I have to agree with "themi" on this one. Whether the Kentucky and Tennessee players wanted to play in those games or not it shows Conference strength in my opinion. Most "experts" have stated that the SEC stinks this year in Basketball and those two loses to not very good teams goes a long way to verify that perception.

Who cares how strong the experts think the SEC was this year anymore? We've already got our seed, it's not like they can say "oh wow, look how awful Kentucky was, we better move UF down." And unlike football, there isn't that much carry over of perceptions of conferences from year to year,

I disagree. This perception has nothing to do with lowering our seed, it has to do with how prepared we are to win a National Championship or progress far in the NCAA Tournament. Keep in mind our last 21 games have been against SEC competition and two of our loses were to Kentucky and Tennessee. Who both looked lousy against non SEC teams. The Marquette, Wisconsin and FSU games (in which looked unbeatable) were a long time ago and I personally have not seen "that team" in at least a month.
Again, this is just my opinion, but I do look at how SEC teams do during the NIT and NCAA tournament (also Bowl Games) to get a feel on how were are going to do and the loses by Kentucky and Tennessee do not make me feel all "warm and fuzzy". I do hope like hell I am wrong............... GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
