Well I just watched the first half of their conference championship game:

1. They press. They press after made shots and even try to organize a press after missed shots and defensive rebounds by their opponent. BTW, they force 17 turnovers a game. Certainly this will give the Wilbekin critics/worriers much to chew on.

2. They often make hockey like shift changes. That is they bring in 5 at a time. In the game I saw they played about 4 minutes and then brought in the first shift change.

3. Attacked PG of the opponent getting 3 first half fouls on the starting PG and the back up.

4. They were not a big ball screen team in the half that I watched. They were more like the dribble drive.

we need one of those 'Beware the Demons' posts we had going last season in the 'Full Court Press' forum...we started doing them for every game since it 'worked' vs Virginia!

Everyone is going to press the Gators going forward. We are struggling with the press. Interesting Ole Miss was missing their point guard Sunday and they pressed better than we did.

Yep! They will run run run and try to get turnovers. However, I believe we will fare well against this style and actually blow them out. The one thing that bothers me is that we are already a bit tired from the SEC tourney and this could affect our legs in the following games.

Maybe we'll have a career night in blocks turning into easy transition points.

Well good thing it is a Friday game. BTW, their championship game was Saturday late enough that on the replay they were promoting UF v. UMs during the first half of game.

Agree. Our defense will surprise them. Same for other teams we might play (minus Georgetown and Wisconsin, the only teams in the field that we've played already that I think have a chance to be in a position for a tourney rematch).

I don't ever want to take any team for granted but we should win by 10-15 points, even if we play poorly. Average game equates to about a 20-25 point game. A good game would be about 30-40 points. Honestly I would like to see this game over by halftime so we can rest our players for Sunday. If Ogbueze, Walker, Graham are in the game with 8 minutes left then that is a good sign.
