Louisville to win it all.
They lost last year in the final. They are hungry and have a great coach in Petino. Look for Louisville to win it all. Gators make it to the final 8. That is all.

Is this a blast from the past? It looks and smells like rec.sport.football.college (rsfc newsgroup for you net old-timers) stinky bait.

They lost to UK in the semis.
And his name is Pitino.

But they do look pretty good now. That defensive effort against Syracuse was the best I've seen in 10 years. If they play like that, teams will wilt and die. I wonder if a tactic is play normally in game 1 and if they make game 2, use that defense to wilt the other team early. I don't think they can do that every game, but if they can, by the time they reach the elite 8, they will have the advantage of using that defense on teams that are weary. Definitely something to watch for.

They are my pick also, but if I was a Cardinal fan I would be worried about the play of their pg, pretty inconsistent when I have watched.

Anyone who "knows" who is going to win it all this year either posts on the internet and nothing else or loses a lot of money gambling.
My hope is either us (not likely but not impossible) or a 8+ seed to win it. But no money bet. This year is going to be like those Superbowl numbers matrices: pure dumb luck.

I wasn't that high on Louisville most of the season, but the defense I saw them playing recently has me convinced. It's the type of defense I've been hoping to see the Gators demonstrate again (I think we showed similar epic defense for most of the season prior to Yeguete's knee problems).
I just sent in my bracket to my company pool and I have UF beating Louisville in the Final. I don't typically pick UF to go all the way like that, but I'm going with them this year based on what they showed earlier in the season and my hope that they'll get that back in the Tourney with Yeguete back and mostly healthy.
I'll have to check, but I may have gone with Pittsburgh getting to the Final 4 over Indiana (I was going back and forth), and I think I ended up going with Syracuse over Miami in another region if I haven't gotten them all mixed up. I'm too tired to check it now

I say Ryan Kelly disrupts that perfect D and Duke takes them out.

Louisville to win it all.
Because Kentucky thought their season couldn't get any worse.

How many teams in recent years lost in the finals the previous year and then won it the next year? None. They went through a seven game stretch this season where they lost 4 of the 7 games including 3 in a row. They are beatable. You only need to lose one and you are out in the tournament. They lost to Duke, barely beat Illinois State, barely beat Kentucky at home, and barely beat Pittsburgh (a loss there would have dropped them out of the top 20).

Someone has given you a very screwed up bracket if UF and Louisville are playing in the semis. We're on opposite sides (although I picked Louisville to lose to UF in the championship game).

Louisville is peaking right now, but I'd be surprised if they won 16 games in a row to finish the season.
Plus I don't completely trust Russ Smith or Siva.

Like I said back on March 19th, Gators will get to the Elite 8, check that off, and now Louisville will win it all. So get ready to check that off.
