Florida's unemployment rate falls below National average
First time in 5 years...
http://blogs.tampabay.com/news/busin...anuary/2109622
Two months have passed since Florida glimpsed how its long-suffering jobs market was faring.
It was worth the wait.
The state's unemployment rate dropped to 7.8 percent in January — the first time it fell below the national jobless rate in five years. A major revision also shows the state added about 80,500 more jobs last year than originally estimated.
The revised report indicates Florida added 135,400 jobs during 2012 (up from an earlier estimate of 54,900 jobs); the Tampa Bay metro gained 27,600 jobs (up from an estimate of 21,000).

But Democrats in droves will go vote against Scott in the next election anyway for the sole reason that he's Republican.

Economic honor ascribed to Scott but none to Obama...
http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/201...in-seven-years
So how should voters determine whether Scott's jobs agenda is working?
By many measures, the governor can claim progress on regulatory and unemployment reforms, modest tax cuts and new companies pledging to add jobs for a price. But he has been unable to move much of his agenda through the Legislature.
And there's another, bigger problem in trying to assess Scott's progress: Economists and policymakers alike say it's pointless to try to determine how many jobs the governor should be given credit for creating. That's because Florida's economy is powerfully shaped by national and international trends that no governor has power to influence.
The downgraded jobs forecast, for instance, is largely attributed to the European debt crisis, uncertainty over the "fiscal cliff" in the U.S., and Florida's slower-than-anticipated processing of foreclosed homes and sales.
"The total jobs numbers are going to be controlled by the global economic environment. No governor can control that," said Tony Villamil, an economics professor and dean of the Business School at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens and a member of Enterprise Florida's directors.
"I never wanted someone to say, 'I will create 700,000 jobs in 7 years.'"

Jersey's up to 9.5%. Yep, we're sitting right there between two of the biggest media markets in Philly and NYC. The economy is obviously booming, at least on Wall St.

I was talking with a dem who honestly told me he thought one of the reason Romney lost the election was because republican governors preformed to well in their states. At first i was just shocked a dem was saying this but he is a very bright person and pointed out the states doing well are mostly the republican lead states....

And yet you can;'t deny what I said. Maybe you have another "conspiracy" accusation to toss in?
Obama has been an absolute disaster to this country's workforce and it's economy.
8.3 million less jobs in the labor force, over 22 million un-employed and under-employed, record 50 million on food stamps, real unemployment over 11%, the least amount of disposable income for the average family in 53 years, $6 trillion in new debt, prices on everything sky-rocketing because of that...
Tell me, what the f*ck has Obama done that has actually helped this country? That;s just it, you can't tell us, because he hasn't.

I guess it is good news. If this was issued by the federal government, it also takes into account thei great number of citizens who were removed from the unemployment roles the first quarter of this year. These are people that just gave up looking. You see, in government speak, if you give up looking for a job you are no longer considered unemployed. You no longer count!
There are 10 million of 'em.
