They are up to 22 games now, tied for 2nd longest in history. They really have a shot because their schedule is pretty weak: almost all teams from the East or weaker teams from the West.
Two things might do them in: they have played fewer games than a lot of other teams, so they'll be getting fewer days of rest like tonight's 2nd game of a back to back although even that won't be much of a challenge since Garnett is probably not going to play.
The likeliest game to trip them up would be win #30 of the streak: at San Antonio at the end of a 4 games in 6 nights road trip. The first game in the trip is the back of a back to back. I guarantee Pop won't sit out any of his stars for that one, although it would be hilarious if he did and they still won.
The only streak this team cares about is when they win 16 postseason games.
If the Heat win the title this season, which they should, they would get a lot of recognition if they can pass the 33 win mark. When people talk about the 72 Lakers the first thing that comes to mind is the 32 game win streak. Champs happen every season, this rarely happens. Provided they win the title, this season will go down as one of the best teams of all time.
I dont care what anyone says, he is ridiculously good lol.
