The game changed with two possessions!

Right before half we had an 11 pt lead, we go down for the last play with about 57 seconds last, we turn over the ball. Next, we stop Ole Miss and then we come down again and get nothing, they get the ball back again and almost make a long shot. We should have gone up by 13 or 14 pts going into half, but we lope off not feeling sure about our offense. The second half with Ole Miss up by 5, 59-54, there is about 2 minutes left. That means we scored 16 pts in almost a half of basketball. This team has problems scoring whether it is inside or outside shooting.

When we go out in the NCAA tournament, we are going to be feeling like we do tonight. How can we be that cold! Buurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

These two possessions I am talking about right before half, gave Ole Miss some confidence they could stop us inside or out. From this point on we could hardly score. I mentioned 16 points in nearly a half. I know our guys will tell us that they didn't play very good in the second half. Officials calls forget about it. We let them back in by our play. This team doesn't play with an urgency sometimes. Coming out in the second half flat. In the NCAA tournament, no matter who we play, we have to have that do or die feeling at all times. We could go home early if we play like the second half. If we can put two first halfs together, we can move on. As a long time Gator fan, I never like to see us lose, but it is going to happen sometimes.

We were able to put Jimmer on every sport page and site, now Marshall H. Urrrrrggghhh! It is going to be a tough week listening to ESPN rattle on about the brackets and when it comes to the Gators. I have never heard of Northwestern State, but I know they are coming for the Gators. I hope we can play a complete game to move on. Go Gators

As for the two plays you mentioned, they were definetly big, but the writing was already on the wall!

Same old story...we need to drive for points and fouls. When we did that were were Ok but once we went to 3 points shots , and were off, the game was lost. When we're patient and work inside the oiutside opens up. Patrick could not handle their big man.

If I am playing the gators I go Zone all day.. we go straight bone-head on offense. When the 3 isn't falling and they are in zone, we can't do anything.

We should play faster, try to get out and run. Our offense is not good enough to play slow in half court sets.

2nd half Murphy picked up a pass on the low post instead of driving to the rim uncontested he shoots an air ball! Cannot make chicken salad from chicken doo!
