abc/espnu gets a d- for csoverage
dykes/nesslar are just awful. dykes says the same thing EVERY single game. Hey jimmy just because you keep saying it over and over and over, doesn't make it so. He's just awful, but at least he knows what's going on... I'm not sure you can say the same for nesslar. I'm not a great basketball mind but I don't think he even understands the game of basketball. I know the SEC is down the ladder for quality announcing for basketball but a 3rd grader could do better than these two. I guess at least jimmy didn't call Pat "a beautiful person" for a third straight day, that would have been really creepy
I don't understand the under the basket camera angle they continually show. YOU NO PERSPECTIVE. It's fine for replays, 1 out of 10 times when it actually gives a good angle, but there's a reason the half court camera angle has been used since the beginning of televised basketball... it gives a MUCH better perspective of what's going on.
I hate country music as it is, but that holler if you hear me might be THE single worst song every recordered, I'd rather hear call me maybe. I put up with the football gameday suckfest of we're coming to your city but this is too much. tate stevens should be shot.

I've watched every single SEC tournament game this year and if I hear that Holler if You Hear Me song anymore I'm going to join Henderson in the nuthouse.

They also kept showing close up shots while the ball was in play and would miss significant parts of the action.

and as someone started another thread about, they kept showing the FG% whenever someone shot a free throw as if it were somehow relevant

I like Dykes. Like him alot. I can't count the number of times in this tournament that he said to look for something and it happened very quickly and just like he said it would. Also, compare his brackets to Lunardi and Palm. Dykes will be right about who is in and out much more often than those two.
Look, I'm as sick as anyone. Tired, tired, tired of the close losses. Sick of the bad officiating. I'm even tired of blowing teams out because until we prove we can win a close game, nothing has changed. Tired of either winning by double digits or losing, as if those are our only options.
But everything is not bad. Put down the razor blade and step away from the ledge. Be an adult.

Coverage by ABC was terrible. No good looks at questionable calls.

Just because you like some terrible announcer when we lose doesnt make me not an adult.

We won a close game yesterday. We were up by only 4 with 6:18 left.
I guess we screwed up winning by 10.

i had no issue about nessler or dykes. of any announcers for the year, unlike others, i think they're are the most neutral about the gators.
do they make mistakes? sure. they all do. i just don't let it bug me.
the country music?: was that for nashville or something? they can ditch that one song for sure.

I was PO'd that ABC showed only clips of Henderson's antics after the game. How about showing Holloway? He was the MVP.
The lesson for up and coming basketball stars . . . . . . . Act like a complete jerk and a**hole and ABC will be sure to show you 100% of the time.

A replay of Murphy's goaltended shot would have been nice.

I don't get the continued complaints of Dykes. He can be repetitive but at least he knows the players and talks about the game, unlike most of those guys. I'll take him over vitale screaming any time. Just wait and see who we get for the tourney games.

I don't have a problem with that tandem either. Dykes does a better job than some of breaking down the game. Nessler...eh, but not terrible. ABC coverage is about what I've come to expect from the Disney/ABC/ESPN/Evil Empire: lots of clips of kids jumping around with terrible music in the background, precious few replays unless you are coming out of a television timeout.
