I want nothing to do with Kansas in our bracket. They're beatable, as they don't have their usual overwhelming talent, but they're also a bad match-up for us. It's particularly true at guard.

It upset a lot of people that they made us the overall #1 in 2007 after a lackluster regular season, but we proved them right by not being threatened in any game of the tourney.

Oh! I didn't even realize we were that high in the RPI. Weren't we around #20 in the RPI a couple of weeks ago? I'm probably confusing it with SoS.
I still think he was talking about us

Because RPI is totally stupid and essentially meaningless. I cannot believe that anyone actually pays attention to it.

Exactly. The problem this year is that everyone is clustered so tightly among the top 8-10 teams or so. All of those clubs have an argument for being a one.
The other thing that arguments about us losing four late games don't take into account was the injuries. Close losses on the road when are shorthanded against decent teams just won't factor that heavily against us.
I suspect we are still a two.

My analysis has nothing to do with the national media lol. As someone who has watched every gator game, and a bunch of games from every other conference, it is quite evident our conference is down this year. You dont lose three games to teams who wont make the tournament down the stretch and expect a #1 seed.

Lunardi called me 20 minutes ago. Look at his latest brackets. Spot on with what I predicted.
I should get half his salary.

At this point, we would be very lucky to nab a #2 seed in my opinion.

We are a 3. Closer to a 4 than a 2 now. Even with a win today we most likely were a 3, but with an outside shot at a 2.

It doesn't matter what seed or bracket. We lose the first close game we play in the tournament.

2 or 3, who cares? If we were a 2, the first top team we run into is a 3. If we were a 3, the first top team we run into is a 2. It could be the same team we run into either way.

I really hope we get Duke and Gtown in our bracket since they don't have depth down low either. No zags , hoosiers or cards please

I wouldn't be surprised if the committee separates those two teams out of the same region.

My guess is if we had won the tournament, we would have received the #2 seed out west.
What a pity.

Getting to the great 8 isn't taking advantage? I suppose only winning it all is taking advantage.
