WOW! WR Travis Rudolph Throws Miami Coaches Under The Bus
OUCH!...Not good if you're a Cane fan.
“I decommitted from Miami yesterday,” Rudolph said. “I decommitted because I have trust issues with their coaches and the inconsistency in what they have been telling me during the time they were recruiting me and while I was committed.”

You're missing the point. Anytime a player publicly comes out and makes a comment like that and says this about a coaching staff it could help us with other players in the south Florida area which we try and recruit year round. He's on record as saying that which is critical & damaging comments. Gator coaching staff will use his words recruiting the next player that is deciding between Florida and Miami. It's like bulletin board material that can be used and shown to other players when visiting Gainesville.

Not missing the point at all kids dont care about Travis' problems especially what this is over. Our staff is not going to negative recruit using this example either.
[edit]
Do you even know what the inconsistency was a bout?
One coach was recruiting him as a WR while others were recruiting him as a DB hardly bulletin board material

Don't be so naive. You don't know what are coaches use or say privately when they are recruiting these athletes. He was committed to Miami over a year ago and all this is now coming out. Miami coaches are not on the same page with one another and this kind of stuff is noticed when negative comments get out in the media about a school's recruiting tactics.
If anything, it could only help in a positive way.

Definitely good for us UF fans that's for sure especially if he publicly criticizes Miami coaches, no matter what anyone else says....

I am not being naive at all. Why on earth would the staff bring up some other random kids recruitment about a position it is stupid. This is not just coming out now either it has been out for awhile now. Sure it could help but more than likely it wont. And it def not some huge deal.

Well it's obvious you know? If a kid publicly criticizes a teams coaches its not good, but it is good for Florida! =)

Never said anything about it being a huge deal. I said it can only help Florida that another player is putting that info out about Miami. I don't care how long it has been out but I know the kid committed last year and his comments are just now going public. GatorCountry is jumping on the story.

This story has been out there for weeks there are interview with him talking about this exact thing how do you think I knew about it?
It cant hurt so I guess it can help but it is pretty much a non issue for most.

The kid is very good.. I know he really likes UF. In the end, I don't think this will matter to Miami other than the fact they lost him. The whole sanction affair, if any, will be a much bigger deal.

I guess what's bad for them is good for us, but I suspect we have higher players on our board and we don't need many WRs this year, possibly just one or two more. I'd be surprised to see him in this class.

While I am sure we have higher kids on the board I would not be mad at all if they took this kid. Anybody that advocated for Bailey hard last year should def want this kid. Also if he doesn't pan out at WR you could always move him to defensive back.

Miami definitely screwed up pretty badly here without question....this is not the first time this has happened which makes it pretty disappointing.
But concerning Rudolph, I do believe that Miami truly wants him at CB. Rudolph, wants to play WR, but Miami has bigger fish to fry.

Didn't we have one of our recruits recently decommit and make similar statements about our coaches? Can't recall the kid's name. It didn't seem to effect our recruiting much.
