Could the SEC tourney have set up better for us?

I think we can beat any SEC team on a neutral court but obviously some have been more problematic for us this season than others. UT is out, UK is out, Mizzou is out. Those would have been the three teams that worried me the most and who I thought could steal the tournament. The chips couldn't have fallen any more favorably and now we just need to take care of business.

I tend to agree, with one exception. Had Missou beaten Ole Miss yesterday evening, that would have meant that whoever wins the Baga/Gator game this afternoon would be facing a team that played 4 games in less than 4 days. Now Ole Miss is likely to be in the finals, being much like the Gators - 3 games in 3 days (unless Vandy wins again - which would really be amazing).

True but I kind of wish we had to play all 3 of those teams, just for more of a challenge/competition and to get some more quality wins heading into the tournament.

The way Vandy is playing and realizing their only hope for the NCAAs is to win the tournament, they might prove to be a tougher opponent than Ole Miss. Prather only played four minutes against Ole Miss when we beat them at home. He will get many more minutes than that if we face them again, and pose problems for them in many dimensions. He had no rebounds and no points in that game.

In addition our three starting guards shot a combined 4-19 from 3 point land, and we won by 14. Ole Miss can't possibly expect us to get that poor of a performance from those three again and they lost the first game despite the poor performance.

Against Vandy, Prather got 13 minutes and he and Yeguete shot 50% from the field and pulled 6 rebounds together (Yeguete played 12 minutes). The guards shot 50% from 3 because Wilberkin was 2-2. We won by 26.

Automatic? You do know we barely beat Bama in the ODome just 2 weeks ago. Bama thinks they can beat us on a neutral court. I wouldn't take Bama for granted because they are the only team that took it to us at home.

Kind of like the NCAA tourney did last year? We should win, but we had better not take any time off.
