but they do control a lot more money, except for maybe Putin. I have a russian client that swears that Putin is richest man in world by far and it isn't even close. Forbes, or anybody else for that matter, just has no way to track all his wealth.
In other countries, pols just take the money for themselves and their families but in US, pols give our money away in exchange for votes or $$ to buy votes through advertising or get out the vote efforts. some take cash and some use inside info for trading but not moany are getting black bags full of cash..or at least not on the federal level..it ahs been poroven that the best investment is lobbying and getting paid back with tax dollars that out children will have to pay back...sad





now if you want to talk about Detroit or Chicago or New Orleans or New Jersey cities or New York City or DC local, I am sure there are many that are just flat out taking cash bribes.
I can tell you that I have had clients willing to pay cash to get permits or zoning and I have never known an instance in the US where a regulator or politician even hinted at being approachable. The caribbean is a whole different story though.
