Congenital Heart Walk Jax for Team Brantley MLH 6 April 2013
Greetings guys and gals! Some of you may remember I have a grandson who was diagnosed with a heart defect at the age of 9 months. He has a coarctation which is a complex arch of the aorta, and his aorta turns the wrong way. Since his diagnosis he has undergone one heart catheter and two open heart surgeries. Because of his surgeries one of his vocal chords is now paralyzed. Fortunately Dr Bleiweis and the staff at Shands did a great job and Brantley is doing pretty well; you would hardly know anything was/is wrong with him.
Anyway, I am walking in the Jax Heartwalk on 6 April 2013 in honor of this amazing little man and I'd like to ask you to contribute to my cause if you are so moved. No contribution is too small and your contribution is tax deductible.
To make a donation simply follow the link.
If you aren't comfortable using the link, please feel free to contact me via PM and I can send you my paypal info. I would also accept your donations in person, but I am in California until 29 March. If you do not wish to make a donation, prayers for all the families who face this challenge are accepted too!
My niece up in Panama City has a congenital heart condition. I think that is her doctor as well. Her issues are not as serious, but they are quite baffling. It's all linked to brain surgery she had as a pre-schooler, so technically, it was a congenital brain condition, but the surgery eventually created problems with her ability to regulate her blood pressure.
Wish I could help. We just donated some money from a family trust to the the American Heart Association. Hopefully some of that trickles your way.

Dr Bleiweis is the best so your niece is in great hands! I wish her a speedy recovery and hope the family is getting along well. Having a little one with any medical condition is rough stuff.
Thanks for your donation to the AHA. Much appreciated.
