maybe we should play 3 bigs more??
To me it seems we are getting killed on the boards...does it make sense to use the SEC tournament and try something new...like having 3 bigs in more often and only 2 guards...we would still have good 3pt shooting with 2 guards and Murphy...??

Sharrif would make a sweet five.

It's tempting. I'm imagining Will at the three with Murph and Patric. The issues there are two-fold: 1) Will might not be ready to hang with some of the more athletic threes out there (someone with better knowledge can correct me on that, if I'm inaccurate) 2) Will coming off the bench allows Patric and/or Murph to get a blow.
The other option, of course, is Prather. It is unlikely, however, that Billy would give Rosario's start, or his minutes, to either player.

It's good that we have the option. I'm sure we'll see it some depending on match-ups and the foul situation.
I thought a couple of times in the UK game we had Yeguete and Prather in with either Young or Murphy. But, I kept losing track of who was in the game - more than normal for some reason

I loved the lineup we played when Wiley was suspended... Py, wy and murph on the court together.

Yeah, that lineup played well, and seemed to handle front-court defense and rebounding well (as would be expected). But, playing that lineup a lot takes away some of our flexibility to keep all 8 rotation players "gainfully employed" (with sufficient minutes to make an impact if they're playing well)

I would like to see a Murphy-Yeguete-Prather frontcourt. Murphy at the five is as much or more of a match-up issue as he is at the four and Yeguete serves the same purpose as Young just with less length and more versatility/rebounding prowess. I also think Murphy and Yeguete are more comfortable and better at feeding the post from the elbow or the top of the key than Young.
And if it wouldn't be so inept offensively, a Young-Yeguete-Prather frontcourt would help solve our rebounding issues. It puts our three best rebounders on the floor at the same time.

Yeguete is two inches shorter & ten pounds lighter than Patric. Defensively, I don't know if he can physically handle some of the bigger centers, but he might be able to use quickness against them. I think Yeguete would get more rebounds & points than Patric, but might give up more points against bigger centers.

Trying 3 bigs more does not require starting the game that way.

Against bigger centers perhaps but how many guys like that have we played this year? Or how many will play the rest of the season? I'm not sure I'd try it against Cauley-Stein or someone of that mold if that's what you mean.
And even against bigger centers, that's debatable. Yeguete positions his body inside much better than Young. At least when there's a rebound or a loose ball to be had.

Can't see it ever happening. Get 2 of them in early foul trouble and we are completely screwed! Would like to see more of PY, EM and Prather together.
