We need to recruit an enforcer type. A player who is down to do all the dirty work (rebound, dive for loose balls, hustle and frustrate the opponent, and when needed, put an oppossing player on his ass).

He's already at Florida.
Harris will do all of these things.

Several outlets reporting/tweeting that Randle will announce March 20th.

What's the odds with him? I know he was waiting for Young to decide I think? Maybe not? Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

I do not know if this is hyperbole on the part of people who observe practice or if transfers play free and easy with no worries about game pressure during their transfer year or something else. Still, I expect both Harris and Finney-Smith to play starter minutes and likely start next year. As with all players there will be areas where they can improve.

I'd argue season long Mike Rosario is the best player on the team. You could make the argument for Murphy and I wouldn't fight you but those two have been tops.

On the KU game last night, ESPN made it clear they think it's Randal to KU.

Seems like more national guys are saying KU than anyone else. People who cover UK and have a good track record when it comes to recruiting info are saying that, although it could change, they think its UK. I have no idea. I think Jeff said he's confident about Randle, I think.
Jason Jordan, the USAtoday writer who's covered Randle's recruitment and seems closer to the family than anyone else, evidently, has said he has always thought UK.
You also hear people say Texas or Florida. Haven't heard any NC State votes though.
Safe to say it sounds like Kansas is the favorite as far as public opinion goes, but my guess is very few people actually know.

I'd guess it is KU, Texas, UK, Florida based on all the rumors.

ESPN 100 No. 3 overall prospect Julius Randle (Dallas/Prestonwood Christian) has cut NC State and Oklahoma from his list of finalists, ESPN.com's Dave Telep has learned.
Earlier this week, rumors spread that the Sooners and Wolfpack had been eliminated. After initially stating that all six teams among his finalists were still in the mix, Randle's mother confirmed the news via text message on Friday.
That leaves Kansas, Kentucky, Florida and Texas as Randle's finalists less than two weeks until he makes his decision official. Randle will announce his college pick live on ESPNU on March 20.
It has been an eventful several weeks for the nation's No. 1 power forward in the senior class. Three weeks ago he returned to the court for the first time since November after missing almost the entire season with a fractured foot. Last weekend he led Prestonwood Christian to a state title, and earlier this week he was added to the McDonald's All American roster as a 25th player after proving his health over the final two weeks of the season.
Julius Randle (Dallas/Prestonwood Christian), the No. 3 recruit in the class of 2013, said earlier this week he'd be making his college decision on March 20. He's trimmed his list down to Kentucky, Kansas, Florida, and Texas as, just yesterday, Dave Telep learned that he had eliminated NC State and Oklahoma from his list. How realistic is it that the Longhorns land the best player in Texas?
The No. 1 power forward seems pretty guarded about who his front-runner is. Kentucky's class is loaded already so that could deter him from attending UK. Bill Self was the only head coach to attend the semifinal game of his state tournament, in which he scored 40 points and brought down 15 rebounds. We're curious about how likely it is Randle chooses Texas. It seems like it would be a natural fit for both parties, with respect to location and star presence. Texas had an unexpectedly down year in 2012 and this pickup would change the face of the program. Here's Paul Biancardi with more.
Paul Biancardi
Texas will ascend with Randle
"If the No. 1 player in the state and No. 3 player overall in the country would choose to stay home and play for the Longhorns, it would have a ripple effect throughout the entire state of Texas. Randle would have Kevin Durant-type meaning for the Horns, especially if Myck Kabongo returns, which the draft boards suggest he might. (Kabongo is currently projected as a late-first-round pick or early-second-round selection by ESPN's Chad Ford.) The Texas roster has great size, athleticism and strong perimeter play returning. The Longhorns have one of the biggest athletic programs and largest alumni bases in the nation, and Randle would have the opportunity to be the big man on campus."

I feel pretty confident that Randle will choose Kentucky, but this is recruiting and Randle loves the pub so we shall see.

If he is playing college ball for just one year, why not come to Florida? Beal showed that you can do it at Florida too. Donovan has a good relationship with Randle which could help us out here. I still don't understand how Calipari keeps getting all these top 10 nationally rated recruits.

This is a great gator hoops recruiting site: http://gatorhoopsrecruits.com/
Only site I've seen that actually gets in contact with most of our hoops recruits and gets quotes from them. For free too!
