How Many "WINS" are LEFT in the GATOR Season?
heading into the '2nd season'....the post-season. where it becomes [almost] a 'one and done' scenario. ["almost", since you can still survive a loss in the sec-t]. so, it's a good time to play: Guess how many WINS are left in the Gator hoops season...
3 games/wins possible for UF in the SEC-Tourney;
6 games/wins possible in the ncaa's.
of course, if you say '6' that could be one and done in the SEC-T but a nat'l title in the ncaa's! or, it could mean an SEC tourney title with an elite eight run in the ncaa's.
at the low end is 0 - one and done in both tourney's
at the high end is 9: resulting in playing in, and winning the title games in both tourney's.
possibilities:
0+0 lose opening game in the SEC; lose in the ncaa's opening round
1+0 win opening game in SEC, lose the ncaa opening round game
2+0 advance to the championship game in SEC, lose opening round game in the ncaa's
3+0 win the SEC-T, lose opening round game in the ncaa's
0+1 lose opening game in the SEC-T, advance to the round of 32 in the ncaa's
1+1 win opening game in SEC, advance to the round of 32 in the ncaa's
2+1 advance to the championship game in SEC, advance to the round of 32 in the ncaa's
3+1 win the SEC-T, advance to the round of 32 in the ncaa's
0+2 lose opening game in the SEC-T, advance to the sweet sixteen in the ncaa's
1+2 win opening game in SEC, advance to the sweet sixteen in the ncaa's
2+2 advance to the championship game in SEC, advance to the sweet sixteen in the ncaa's
3+2 win the SEC-T, advance to the sweet sixteen in the ncaa's
0+3 lose opening game in the SEC-T, advance to the elite eight in the ncaa's
1+3 win opening game in SEC, advance to the elite eight in the ncaa's
2+3 advance to the championship game in SEC, advance to the elite eight in the ncaa's
3+3 win the SEC-T, advance to the elite eight in the ncaa's
0+4 lose opening game in the SEC-T, advance to the FINAL FOUR in the ncaa's
1+4 win opening game in SEC, advance to the FINAL FOUR in the ncaa's
2+4 advance to the championship game in SEC, advance to the FINAL FOUR in the ncaa's
3+4 win the SEC-T, advance to the FINAL FOUR in the ncaa's
0+5 lose opening game in the SEC-T, advance to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
1+5 win opening game in SEC, advance to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
2+5 advance to the championship game in SEC, advance to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
3+5 win the SEC-T, advance to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
0+6 lose opening game in the SEC-T, but WIN the NATIONAL Title
1+6 win opening game in SEC, and WIN the NATIONAL Title
2+6 advance to the championship game in SEC, and WIN the NATIONAL Title
3+6 win the SEC-T, and WIN the NATIONAL Title

Beats me. But while all the games are on the road which isn't good at least they're on the road for the other team too, unlike UK, Arizona, Mizzou, et al.

2+2. Someone is going to rise on the SECT and beat this team. Also, this team will not make the Elite 8. Thye don't have the drive and emotion that great teams do. They are a better than average team in a less than average season in NCAA BB.

Most likely somewhere between a minimum of 4 and an obvious maximum possible of 9.
To me, the most likely number appears to be 6: probably 2 in the SEC and 3-5 in the NCAA.
Of course, we are all rooting for 9.
By the way, should 9 occur, this would be the 2nd time ever that the Gators will have won the SEC regular season, the SEC tournament and the NCAA tournament. The other was the Academic Year 2006-2007 team. The 2005-2006 team won the SEC and NCAA tournaments, but finished 2nd to Tennessee in the SEC East, losing multiple end of season games, as did the 2006-2007 team (3 end of year losses in the SEC).

any number below 4 well would that would be just snarky. im a little above that with 2+2=4 most likely and my now realistic expectation. 2+3=5 would be ok and my second optimistic guess. have high hopes for getting lucky at 3+3=6. would pee myself for a 3+4=7 because its unexpected and who doesnt like that warm feeling. its possible when they are clicking and stars align but im probably wet dreaming about jenn brown at 3+5=8. of course at 3+6=9 what planet did we come from somebody call nasa i just shot the moon with the previously mentioned jb. for real!!

Based on recent performances, I am not feeling to good about this team. This team can't close out any close games other than our home win against Alabama. First round game of SEC will be against winner of UGA/LSU. We will win that by 15-20 points. Second game will be against the UT/Alabama winner. Don't see us winning that one cause it will be close and based on our performance we will lose a close one.
NCAA- Will probably get a 3rd seed, so we play 14th seed mid major team and roll that one. Next opponent is a 6 seed along the lines of a Syracuse, Notre Dame, Wisconsin type of team. On paper a chance to win but once agains based on how we are playing, I say we may lose.
We are probably a 2-3 win team to close it out winning either two in the Tourney or SEC Tournament.

10. We're still playing against UK, right? It's been 24 hrs 7 minutes and 36 seconds since we last scored a point but I think we can still pull it out....

At this point, it feels more like 2 (1+1) and even that may be generous. Anyone with more than 4 expects us to play to our abilities and not how we've played for the past month.
The good news for the NCAA is that the teams won't know us as well as the SEC does.
