Just picked up the CZ82 and 100 rounds of 8mm Makarov. She's a beauty. Man that trigger is sweet. Rounding up ammo is my ongoing task. Next up will be getting a 1911.

Gun & Knife show in Tally at the fairgrounds on South Monroe this Saturday, and there will be Concealed Weapons courses there as well.
Bring your Obama drone scrambler kit too...

She's a beauty.
I'm happy because I've been able to find 10 boxes of 9mm makarov at reasonable prices and today I even found two mags at reasonable prices. Its out there but you really have to look hard and be patient.

I broke it in myself tonight with a single round of Winchester supreme elite .40 right behind the eye of a 6'6" gator that had recently killed a calf down near the Avon Park bombing range. Needless to say, it wasn't doing much of anything after that! Dang thing had buried itself so deep in the muck after one of my buddies hooked it that it took us almost an hour to get it to the surface. Pretty successful evening, though, as a friend of mine also went home with a hog.

well...now have everything but my quota of 9mm fmj which I refuse to pay more than a reasonable price (ie $0.33/round) for. Still need 6 more boxes and then I'll be satisfied with my ammo supply. Couldn't even find any reasonably priced 9mm at a gunshow today. ugh.

Another gun show in Ocala next weekend at the Ramada on 27. Not hoping for much though as the one at the Armory a couple of weeks ago everything was way overpriced. People were selling 22lr for $85. for 500 rounds. All the guns were over priced. I didn't see anyone buying either and that's good.

OMG I wanted that Baretta Px4 Storm 9mm I saw at the Gun Show today. Been wanting one since I was able to fire off some rounds from a friend's Px4. Nice, nice weapon and extremely easy to break down and clean too. SA/DA pistol because of a de-cock feature which makes it absolutely one of the best personal carry holster pistols (much like an M92 as well).
Incredible story though. 22LR is going like hotcakes at the gun shows because people use so many of them for target practice and hang onto their larger caliber ammo. They sold out of 22LR in the first 45 minutes, and in the other building, there were these other vendors trying to sell off their's at outright insulting high prices, one guy selling a 250 round brick for $140!
There was one table I thought I saw $30 a brick and I told the guy I'd take one, and then he told me $80. I lloked at the price closer and it was $80, just written unclearly. I put it back down and then told him I'd pay him $80 for two bricks, but that was my offer and he turned it down. I just had to tell him "no offense, but you're not going to sell your ammo with prices like that. Good luck and all".
Amazingly enough, all that 22LR just sat on those tables. I don't know what those people were hoping for but they are't going to get enough sales of their ammo at that price to make a profit off of it, and something tells me they're dumb enough not to drop their prices at the last minute either.

I bought a $27 dollar bag of 50 9mm jhp today at the gun show, and a $31 bag of .357 bullets. They actually had metal ammo cases of 500 jhp 9mm's for $140 (which is less than .33 a bullet I think), and you got a sizeable metal ammo case with it too.
Your best bet is to hope your local Wal-Mart gets a shipment if you're looking for lower prices, which is around $22 for 50 rounds.

I'm with you fellers. I saw several boxes of 9mm today but the cheapest anybody had it for was $25 for a 50 round box. I'm simply not paying that. 3 rounds per dollar is my line in the sand. If I can't find them for that then I just won't buy. I was gratified to see a lot of it just sitting there unbought all day. Then again, people are getting those prices on gunbroker so obviously some people are desperate/foolish enough to pay those prices.
I wonder how long it will take for suppliers to catch up for 9mm FMJ. I'm amazed the shortage is that acute since its a popular round worldwide and it'd be easy enough to go overseas and buy up their stuff to plug the gap....

One dealer last month was selling his 22LR for $30 a 500 round brick at the gun show. You got to get there early and first for the guys who are just selling mostly ammo and nothing else, but once they're sold out, you only have the other vendors who will gouge you.

That's not really expensive. 50 round 9mm boxes cost just a few dollars less than that at a local wal-mart before all this gun scare started.

about a month and a half ago I bought 6 boxes of steel cased Russkie 9mm for $12/50 round box. Now steel cased is not worth as much to me since you can't use it at indoor gun ranges (fire hazard) but still....that was more than 4 rounds per dollar.
My local gun store for the last few weeks had Blazer brass 9mm FMJ for $16/50 round box though there was a 2 box limit per customer per trip. I got 4 boxes of that before they ran out (hopefully they'll get more in stock soon) I was also able to buy a few boxes of Sellier & Bellot from Natchez for just under 3 rounds per dollar a few weeks ago.
$0.25-$0.33/per round can be found but you have to look hard and be patient. The extra say $10/box I'd have to pay for the 6 more boxes I want isn't going to break me....it just ticks me off. I ain't payin' it.

My local academy gets ammo Monday Wednesday and Friday
No problem getting some rounds
Buying mostly Winchester 100 round packs at $36
40 SW
Walmart managers in some parts of Atlanta are only selling ammo to employees for fear of customer frenzy
One of my employees father is a department manager and he told her that. Waiting for him to score me a bulk 223 box
