What will it take for people to realize that leftists really care nothing about the causes they champion: poverty, environmentalism, free speech, gay rights, feminism, etc.?

Leftists everywhere have been and still are driven mainly by hatred and envy of happy, successful people, what Ayn Rand called "hatred of the good because its good"?

And the free nations that make success and happiness possible.

And that their causes are just platforms for striking out at others.

This explains them completely.

Even people like Jimmy Carter going around the world sucking up to tyrants and criticizing the nation that elected him president.

It's all a product of the prevailing morality of the Western World for the last couple of thousand years: selflessness and self-sacrifice.

In the real world, it's just destruction for the sake of destruction.
