Look at him, he's like a fat Keith Olbermann.

Jeb will be forever unacceptable on every level due to his role with Terry Schiavo.

In my experience living in Miami, Cubans generally do not object to being called Latino but technically you are right. Latino denotes Latin American origin whereas Cubans are Caribbean. That said, I don't think a prominent Cuban Republican would be too disadvantaged in his potential support among Hispanics relative to, say, a prominent Mexican Republican.

This is a totally subjective metric, though. When dealing with things that way it's always easy to skew one way or the other. "Levels of achievements." Come on.

Sorry, but educational institutions do not rely on "subjective standards" either alone or in the main when accepting applicants or rewarding achievement, though there is a minor component one could call subjective.

And this might be a valid point if we knew that Obama and Rubio had applied to the same schools under the same conditions. Otherwise it's entirely meaningless.

Yeah, I'm not sure Rubio is the guy that will suddenly lure in "Latino" voters based only in his own identity. He is a guy capable of winning over the various groups already in today's GOP, and maybe peel away enough others to win an election. He can win a primary, please all the factions, is a deft politician and has some outside appeal. I still think he needs a lot of things to go right for him to win in 2016 though, including a still stalled economy & an uninspiring (D) campaign or candidate.

You might be right. He could end up being a totally uninspiring candidate. But so far he's probably the best the GOP has.

Do tell us the objective criteria by which 0bama was awarded the editorship of the Harvard Law Review, which incidentally is the closest thing to a leadership position that he ever held in his whole entire life prior to being elected to the most important leadership position in the whole entire world. At least Rubio was Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. Also, he married a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader, which a way more significant accomplishment than anything 0bama did prior to being elected President. Or for that matter, to date.
