I completely agree that Obama is probably overstating the crisis, as politicians are wont to do. It is, of course, strange to see it from a bunch of rightwingers that think the world is ending any moment, that Obama is arming the post office to have a weird and nonsensical internal insurrection, that Obamacare will murder their hostile toothless grannies, that we will be Greece next week, that wild rapist sodomites will destroy all notion of family value, and any of the other completely absurd melodrama that litters this site daily. Half the crazies on here are currently building bunkers and buying loads of ammunition for an imaginary Red Dawn war, and you guys think Obama protests too much the loss of teaching jobs. Adorable.

"probably overstating the crisis"? He absolutely and shamelessly overstated it in an attempt to scare and manipulate the people of this country. Great leadership and "balanced approach" by Commander and Chief after receiving all he wanted in the just prior tax standoff.
