Default CP's Career Night/Rome Interview

Chandler went 12-13 last night for 32 points. It got him and interview on Jim Rome's show. Just heard it.

Among things of note...Chandler credits the acquisition of James Harden with making his life a lot easier this year, playing in France.during the lockout helped him make the transition to the NBA a lot easier out of college and he's not surprised at how much media coverage he gets for his good head of hair.

Seems like a good guy and is another great example of Billy's player development and Chandler's work ethic to improve so much. Good for him.

Definitely. Its amazing to think of what he is doing today when you think back on where he was his freshman year.

I think a big reason for CP's improvement has to do with his coordination finally catching up with his body. When you have a tremendous growth spurt like CP did, it actually takes a while to get used to your new body. Kudos to him for the hard work.

I wouldn't doubt it. I remember seeing him and Calathes at a UF football game their freshmen year. Parsons was tall as heck and skinny as a rail. He was like a huge goofy 13 year old. Not everyone grows into their body at the same time. Some take longer. When he finally grew into it, he took off and the sky is the limit for him now. He should be proud especially with the work he put into it.

Rome gave Chandler props for his role in helping the Gators annihilate Rome's Cal-Santa Barbara team (he's an alum) in the first round of the NCAA tournament two seasons ago.

My son is the same way. When he got to UF he was very uncoordinated since he was thin as a rail and 6'4'. He put a lot of work in the gym and Now he's a very strong, very well coordinated 210lbs man that plays a decent game of tennis. I wish he was this strong and coordinated when I had him on my soccer teams .

I really hope the Rockets keep the Lakers out of the playoffs.

My son played AAU baseball with Chandler as a 14 year old, he was a foot taller than the other kids at the time. I don't think he had a growth spurt, he was always tall.
