The big issue for Prather starting next year is that he doesn't have much range on his jumper and he has been inconsistent handling the ball on the wing. He made a huge jump last year at the four when Yeguete went down, then did the same thing this season. He played very ball smart at the three yesterday which is the key for him at the position going forward. I still think he fits better in the post rotation next year with additional minutes coming at the three.

But from 12 feet in, he may have the best face-up shot on the team. For a team that relies on threes or dunks, I think it's very important to have that particular shot on the floor.

Over the last few games Prather has shown me some really nifty pivot moves and ball fakes in the paint that I didn't know he had.

The problem is that in our offense the three spends most of his time spotting up or running ball screens on the perimeter, not inside the free throw line. Prather can hit the shot, I agree, but he still has to find a way to get to that spot on the floor, which has been a real struggle for him in the past (not so the other day). Our four gets mores looks in the high post than the the wings do. The good thing about Finney-Smith is that he can get those looks off the bounce.

When teams play zone against us, Prather is probably the guy that can best exploit the middle of the zone if he can consistently get into that area and hit that free throw jumper.

Would like to see Prather start. Bring Rosario off the bench (behind MF II), at least until he remembers his coaching this year.

Not only is 24 my favorite number, but Prather just has this goofy look about him that I really like! He is starting to become my favorite player on the team!!!
Oh yeah, and he's starting to show some serious basketball ability!

Lol. Rosario carried this team through the injuries while KB struggled. One bad game and you want to drop him to 8th man?

Casey has rather unusual shot form from deep. He kind of pulls back the middle of his body or something. If he could get that going, he could very well be all SEC next year.
And for what its worth, Scottie has one of the best pull up mid range jumpers on our team this year. Scottie, Rosario and Prather all have that shot off the dribble penetration. We need to see more of it.

You really think Casey is a better athlete than Will? I think they are very close but Will may have the best hand/eye coordination I have seen in a long time.
He could become one of the best pick-pocket artist in the world if he wanted to. LOL

Not one bad game. His bad tendenacies have been creeping back into his game as this season wore on.
Players respond to benching. I hope he responds in a huge way.

I don't believe that he ever did. We had a few here speculate that he may leave, but from all accounts, Prather has always been one of the hardest workers on the team.
He was snakebit some earlier in his career, but the light has come on. I think he has a huge upside that we're just starting to see.

It's not the time to make changes to a team that's 23-5. Rosario has been our best offense most of the season, and an adequate defender. If Prather's minutes increase, that's fine, but don't fiddle with the starting lineup.
