Yeguete told Donovan after the game that he was petrified about playing. You could see that in the way he played; he was tentative the whole time (except that one play where he took an ill-advised, heavily guarded shot). No worries; he'll soon be back to the same energy guy we know and love.
He got 11 minutes yesterday. I expect he'll get 15 against Vandy and 20 against UK. When Prather came back from the high ankle sprain, he was lousy the first two games back, and then in the third game he looked like his old self. The timing, especially after a leg injury, takes a little work to get back.

Yup, yup. I suspect WY will be back to normal very soon. Just in time for the tourneys.

Plus remember Yeguete was hurt last year against UTn, missed a game, came back and in his second game back broke his foot and missed the rest of the year. So Yeguete has additional worries that other injured players usually don't have.

Yes Planet - good points about Yeguete, and you also Insti.
It usually takes a couple of games for players to shake off the rust following a foot/leg injury, sometimes more.

If he keeps handling the ball as well as he did against Bama, then he will get more time there. Prather made very good decisions with the ball.

In my opinion Prather was the MVP of that game. His quickness and decision making turned momentum in our favor. As far as Yeguette goes; I felt he got just the right amount of minutes. Gave him a chance to get his feet wet, but did not overwhelm him.

Casey is a devastating finisher. He gives us another dimension when he is on the floor and he's also looking for the open guy too. That assist to Patric was a beauty.
Billy has always complimented Casey about his attitude and work ethic. I remember him saying that he really pulled for Casey because noone deserved success more than him.

Just thinking about all of this makes me feel like we are an incredibly deep team with 8 guys. Playing with 6 makes you thankful for 8!
If everyone can get back in a groove we can be really really good.
