ESPN Ranks All NCAA Tournament Winners
2007 Florida came in at #14. Which when you look at the teams ahead of them is very fair.
Only one (maybe two) team(s) that is ranked ahead of them I have an issue with.
1990 UNLV who I think the 2007 UF team was better than
and
1974 NC St.
I haven't gone through the list to find the 2006 team yet
found 2006......38th. again, fair I think

It's crazy, CBS did the same thing bracket style, and has the 07 Gators as a 10 seed. This shows me how subjective it is besides the top 5 champs.

I think the 2007 team should be ranked much higher, based on the fact that they were SO good they did it twice.

I loved that '74 NC State team led by one of my all-time favorite players David Thompson (look him up younger fans); and they were a great team.
They went undefeated the year before, but couldn't play in the Tourney due to probation. They again went undefeated in the ACC in '74 and beat a great Maryland team to get to the NCAA Tourney where they beat an incredibly great UCLA team led by Bill Walton (that had won some ungodly number of games in a row) which had beaten them for their only loss in '74.
That double OT victory over UCLA was one of the best games I've ever seen.

Yeah, no shame in being ranked behind that '74 NC State team. I'm pretty happy they ranked the '07 team as high as they did. I think it was deserved, but didn't expect ESPN to put us better than about 25th.

Ha I remember once I got to twenty I was like, please please let the 07 be in the top ten. Alas so close. Question for everybody- which team in the top 10 would you most want to watch play the 07 Gators? For me it would be a tie between 96 Kentucky and 1982 UNC. 96 Kentucky because we can settle who is the best team all time from the SEC, and 82 UNC because it would be fun to see the Gators against MJ.

That UNLV team was fantastic, but I don't think they had the height to hang with the 2007 Gators.

Taking off O&B glasses.... Florida was the best TEAM (focus on the word T-E-A-M) to ever win it all. We weren't the most talented team ever, we didn't have any top 10 all-time players... but nobody played better as a team, unselfishly and nobody played better together.
Because of this, I think the 07 Gators could beat any Championship team to ever win it all. I think a 2-3 seed all-time would be good unless we are strictly talking about them as a team and obviously I say they are the best ever.

The 2012 Uk team as a number 2 seed? That bracket lost all credibility right there. The 06 and 07 teams would have beat that Kentucky team by double digits.

Wrong. You didn't have players who were projected out of highschool as top 10 players. If you recall, you had three players selected in the top 10 of the following year's NBA draft. Thats talent comparable to any team on the list.

Not many non-Florida fans will agree with you on this one. I'm not saying UK would have dominated, but it at least would have been close.

So you think Noah, Brewer and Horford are considered top 10 ALL-TIME players in college basketball?
Maybe you're just reading it wrong?

Haha. Read it wrong. My bad gatormoe. There should be a lose rep option for posts like that.
