Noah shares some of Tim's traits (or vice-versa) talent, passion, hard work and being a good guy that people hate..
That's exactly what I was thinking. I know the situations aren't the same, but I think Jo's success shows even with an unorthodox style and the will to win is why Timmy would be successful to given the/another chance.
Great center, great player, great citizen of the world, great Gator. I love Joakim, and I'm happy to say that I was among those who defended him during and after his freshman year at UF. They won't admit it now, but there were those on this board that thought he was a waste of a scholarship.
Never diss a freshman. Give him a chance to grow into the college game.
if he looks awkward then honestly.....you have no idea what you are talking about
ok look, I agree with you that in many respects he lacks certain fundamental principles. but in all others he is so fundamentally perfect that it is a beautiful thing to have the privilege to watch him play.
Lol. Noah and "fundamentally perfect" should never be in the same sentence together. I hear you though. And I agree with what you're saying, for the most part. I was really just referring to his shot/ free throws. Actually, I think his free throw % has gone up.
And yes, his gangly, unorthodox appearance, as well. bottom line, he gets the job done, and then some. Love me some Noah...

yes his shot is strange and he doesn't have any real refined post moves. But in terms of defensive footwork he is fundamentally perfect. In terms of positioning and spacing....he is perfect.
let's not let the obvious points detract from the subtle ones. there is a reason he gets the job done.

I think he should be in the discussion as to who is the best center in the league. Would you rather have Howard, Bynum,or Noah on your team?
Noah and its not even close
great team mate and an ultra fierce competitor

Notice how on every one of those blocks he not only kept the ball in bounds but usually got the pick up and kick out.....
great stuff!

He may look "awkward" sometimes, but is one of the most athletic big men in the NBA and a great passer as well. Show me another 7 footer who can make a play like this...amazing:

That's an all-time NBA highlight. One of the greatest plays ever.
