I disagree. I think he has gotten better each year until this year. And really, he hasn't taken a *huge* step back this year. All of this "Boynton Slumping" talk can (and will, IMO) be erased when he blows it up in the post-season.

Well,
1. I think Boynton was done a real disservice by being ranked in the top 10 in his class. It probably made him less likely to work on the things he needed to work on in college, handle, shot form, learning how to slash and finish without charging.
2. Boynton is a good but limited by his size defender. Is is a much less one dimensional SG than Humphrey, but Humphrey was so much better at that dimension, ie shooting. Boynton can drive and finish and I wish that he has worked on that particularly not charging on drives throughout his career.
3. Boynton early in his career was a terrible shooter because he shot such a high percentage of contested 3s. Last year, he shot much better in part because he took better shots. He is as others have said on this thread still not taking bad shots, so I have hope he will break out of it and finish strong.

Hopefully these next two games at home will help get him back in rhythm.

Hopefully he will search for and find his rhythm in the PRACTICE GYM. 10-39 is hurting his team and shows no indication of his ability to "shoot" his way out of his mechanical problems.
Defense, drive, score or dish should be his goals.

I don't think anything is really wrong with Kenny's game beyond the issue with his shooting and his zeal for taking quick shots down the stretch.

Kenny had a really good game just last Saturday at home against Arkansas, a real complete game. The overreaction to his tough February here is a bit ridiculous.

teams have really seemed to figured him out defensively. partly because his complete inability to drive to his left.

He has been afraid to shoot for weeks. He passed up several good shots in the Mizzou game only the end it with a terrible one.

The only place he has dropped off is his 3 point shooting percentage. Went from 40% to 33% I believe. However I have a sneaky suspicion that he will get hot in the tournament and bring that percentage up. It is also worth mentioning that his leadership, defense, passing, and overall play has not dipped in my opinion. Just his 3 point shooting.
