Default What i see

P Young - Lots of energy and strong defense. Has improved on offense but not dominant because range limited to 7 feet and does not establish position combined with questionable entry passes. Biggest weakness is rebounding - rarely gets 10 boards and is commonly pushed/grabbed and rebound falls away. Position, will, instincts... whatever it is that makes a good rebounder, he is missing it.

K Boynton - Usually solid on defense. Credible drive but not scaring anybody, streaky shooter from outside. Not a good passer to the post.

Wilbekin - Reasonable handle with occasional struggle under pressure. Developing offense but needs to make this his team (young though). Ok and getting better at post delivery passes and driving. Great defender.

M. Rosario - Great passion but gets lost on defense couple times every game, but better than prior years. Great offense but takes a couple bad shots every game. Not good on the post pass. You know what you get here.

Erik Murphy - Solid position defender. When on and mobile, tough to guard. Panics with passes and shots under pressure. A little guy can guard him as he struggles for position/shot inside and outside - pathetic versus small Tennessee switches who he should have destroyed inside (part of this is entry pass failure).

Yeguette - Excellent defense. Excellent Rebounder and great trash man.

So here is where we are: We are a solid defensive team that can score in bunches. However, without Will we have a weak rebounding team that has streaky shooters (especially under high defensive pressure) that have trouble getting the ball inside. Three guards makes us even more susceptible on the boards.

Will helps with the rebounding and picking up missed shots when our streaky shooters are off. We lose when our shots don't fall, we fail to get boards and we can't get the ball inside. Rosario or Boyton off the bench is the best line-up.

Most frustrating issues: Murphy not banging down clutch shots as a senior, failure to develop a consistent (under pressure) inside/out game and P Young not beasting out on the boards.

Best aspects: defensive. The guys play tremendous defensive... from one on one to help to sags in the lane. We did not match teen because of length, but defense was not the problem in that game (well, effort was not the problem, matchups/length were).

Biggest concern for the tourney is defenses tighten, outside shooting suffers under pressure and rebounds are even more contested.
