Alabama's best true road game win was at Georgia
I know we shouldn't overlook anybody but this Gator team isn't losing at home to Alabama.
People worried about not winning the SEC should be worried about 1 situation. Where we beat Bama and Vandy, UK beats Miss State, @ Arky, and @ UGA, and then UK beats us in Rupp.
That's the ONLY way we don't win the SEC. This coming from someone who refused to believe we could win at Tennessee. We still need to come out and play well vs. Bama and Vandy but anyone thinking we drop 1 of those is crazy.

I am pretty sure UF will win the SEC alone too. I also expected UF to lose at Knoxville. Pre-SEC games I had UF losing at Rupp too, I am more optimistic now that UF might get a win there.

Yes, the Bama at home to me is the exact opposite of UT on the road (does that make sense?) I really think, especially now that we have everyone back, that we will win this one by 25ish points.

Actually, in your scenario, we share the title with UK.

Are we playing Bama in Tuscaloosa or Gainesville? If we're playing Gainesville then your question is irrelevant. Bama is playing the road game so their road stats are relevant. Florida is playing the home game so their home stats are relevant.
And just FYI, Florida has 4 road wins that are as good or better than Bama's best road win:
at Florida State- W 72-47
at LSU- W 74-52
at Texas A&M- W 68-47
at Georgia- W 64-47 (tie, but we won by 10 more points)

As Gotham noted, if the Gators win both games against Bama and Vandy, and Kentucky doesn't lose again until we play them, then the best they can do is pull out a tie with Florida.

Big if for UK to be the first team to beat Arky on it's homecourt (I don't think so) I agree we beat both Alabama and Vandy by double digits at home.

Syracuse beat Arkie in piggieland in a close game. That was before Syracuse had injuries and the Orange was in the top 5.

I picked us to go 14-4. I was being a bit conservative, but figured we would lose a few road games. My hope was that we didn't drop one at home. So far, so good.
And I'm hoping that I'm wrong and we finish 15-3.

I am on board for a Kentucky sweep, improbable as some might think. Beat them at home on senior night and in the SEC tournament, returning their sweep from last year would be like having Steak and Lobster! Also, historic if it happens. Get'um Gators!

Wow Alabama lost to Auburn? There really is no excuse for losing tomorrow. None. Not at home with everyone back.

I agree. I've taken most of our losses with a grain of salt. If we were to lose this one I just might turn into one of the negative nellie posters!!!

I have seen Alabama play quite a bit this season and completely agree with what everyone is saying. To say that Alabama is an offensively challenged team is an insult to the offensively challenged................
Their best players are:
Trevor Releford (#12). He is excellent at taking the ball to the basket and creating contact for "And 1's". He has really improved his outside and three point shooting this year (they were lousy his first two season).
Trevor Lacy (#5): Plays some PG when Relford shifts to SG and has good range from beyond the arch. HOWEVER, he is in a horrific slump right now (think polar opposite of Jordan McRea). I think I heard the announcer of their last game against Auburn on Tuesday say he was 2 out of his last 20 from 3pt land.
Nick Jacobs (#15): Usually comes off the bench and he is a banger (but not quiet like Stokes). His game is alot like Patric Youngs, but not quite as good in my opinion...........
Just to give you an idea, Alabama played Auburn on the road last week (I think) and lead 23-13 at halftime. The final score was 47-39 AUBURN................ Alabama plays pretty good defense (but not as good as they usually have), but really have trouble on the offensive side of the ball. For what it is worth.

Not only does the injury to players affect the fans but I think it would also have an effect on the emotional makeup of the team. Watching one guy after the other go down has to kind of bum the guys out a bit. With all the players back healthy and even with limited minutes for Will, I think you will see a team tomorrow that comes out really fired up. Any realistic goals they set for the team are all still within their grasp and I am sure they are aware of it.

I think UK started to listen to Calipari after Noel went down & that they're playing much better basketball. I think a road win will be very difficult.

Ehhh, I'm not sure sure about that, UK first got blown out at Tennessee, what was it 30 points? Then, they squeaked out a home win against an awful Vandy club and really, really squeaked out a home, overtime win against Missouri in a game they really should have lost and then they blow out Miss State, as had everyone else. If they go into Arkie and Georgia and win, I'll give them credit, until then I'm still thinking NIT

Gators simply must beat Bama tomorrow. For the obvious reason of the SEC standings but also because putting up with Bama fans if they were to pull off the upset would be intolerable up here in Alabama.
