College kids do stupid things, and sometimes those things are criminal. Mostly, they learn their lesson and grow from the experience. However, these crimes are pretty egregious, and suggest that these kids are baaaad news. I wouldn't want any of them at UF.

If it weren't for their athletic ability, they wouldn't have been on any college campus.

Wait wait wait a minute. Williams pistol whips two students into unconsciousness and gives them mild concussions indicating he could have accidentally killed them and all he gets is second degree robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, and possession of a pistol without a license?
This isn't a case of college students doing stupid things. This is a felonious adult that needs some serious help. He should be facing first degree assault charges.

UF made no attempt to recruit Williams and he was the top prospect in the state.

Thugs.

“His left side of his face was gigantic,” Burks said. “The jacket he was wearing and his headphones were completely drenched in blood, the bottom half of his face was completely covered in blood; he was bleeding badly from his lip. He had clearly been badly beaten.”
Williams admitted he struck and knocked both men unconscious.
Chris Paul, the second student attacked by the players Monday morning, said Tuesday night that he was feeling well and had returned to classes.
Jurgens said he has never met his attackers before and wasn’t sure if they attacked him with specific intent to rob him.
“It’s almost like they were doing it for fun, because it seemed weird that they didn’t rob me of my wallet or phone or keys,” he said.

Are you comparing petty misdemeanors to felonies?
But I'm not going to harp on it either.

I guess they prefer prison over Tusk Kaloosa.

I haven't had a chance to read all the comments on this thread yet. But I truly hope no one calls these attacks stupid. They are not stupid, they are mean and bad people.

I'm surprised they're just suspended from the team. Seems like they should be expelled.

Agreed, and that will be their eventual Achilles heel.

Four booted out, one greyshirt, and 5 cuts to be made to get down to the 85 limit before the 13 class enrolls. Bama isn't hurting. They're cherry picking from their 95 after oversigning.
If UF loses 4 like that, we're down to 79 and short depth again when the injuries mount.
I think I like the way Saban handles his recruiting. It's not illegal so we should do it. Too bad if we unethically step on a few toes along the way. At least we'd be starting fall practice with 85 ship players.
Wake up and smell the competition Machan and Foley. They've only won 3 of the last 4 national championships.

That is why WM may get the last laugh. He was able to get every bit of a top 5 class this year while grabbing the players with the personality's and discipline to play college ball. All Bama does is grab as many top recruits they can get to sign and then let the cards fall as they will. However, when you get these type of athletes in your system, it will divide the team. There are too many good kids trying to do it the right way and this brings about tension among the players.

Beats the hell out of the "Bowden" way, which is close your eyes & ears, send them to learning disabled classes, and give them 5 chances if they get caught.
Saban's recruits know going in what the consequences are as it has been well publicized since LSU days.

"Reverend" Bowden would have been praying for a misdemeanor.
