I thought his coach announced he was going JUCO which tells me he won't qualify. Why would he now commit to USF?

It's a shame that some of these kids don't take academics more seriously.

Who's rooting against him? I'm rooting against usf. Whether he plays at a JUCO or tier 2, he still plays.

Just like I wish for everyone, I hope he does well. Of course, I work at USF, so, I think this is great. I think this kid is a very special player.
Regarding grades and academics. Although it is true that grades are far and away (next to affluence), the best predictor of a prospect's likely success at any college, they reflect only a very limited aspect of an individual's knowledge, wisdom and understanding. A few people who flunked out of just about everything they tried were: Issac Newton, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso.

So this kid goes from being all LSU to wanting to sign with UF to ultimately signing with USF.
Sad.

He had problems qualifying academically for Florida. Either his academic qualifications for LSU were also in jeopardy or he decided he wanted to play closer to home. Supposedly he was going to go to a JUCO in Florida to work on academics. I guess USF academic qualification is as easy as some JUCOs, so he took his best option.
