Bama now 2 games behind
Following the loss to LSU tonight, they have 4 losses, which puts them a full 2 games behind the Gators with 4 games to play, one against the Gators in Gainesville.
Even adding Frazier to the Gators never-ending injury list, they still are in good shape for the regular season SEC title.

Good because I can see us losing at UT and at Kentucky giving the Gators 4 SEC losses. Assuming we win the others, we would win the SEC outright.

UF has a two game lead over UAL and UK with 4 games left. If UF can beat UAL at home and beat Vandy at home, then UAL is eliminated. And if UK loses one more game, say at UAR, then UF has won the SEC again provided UF wins those two home games.

Gotta give some credit to UK for pulling together. At first, it looked like our game at Rupp might be their last chance to secure a spot in the Big Dance. Now, it might actually be for them to claim a share of the SEC Championship.

actually found myself pulling for UK vs missouri. my brain may not have accepted mizzou into the conference yet. usually pull for anyone but UK in SEC hoops games (football is different). since UK's on the bubble, i was pulling for them to get into the ncaa's. looks like they've turned the corner and has gotten adjusted to a noel-less team.
personally i think UK is alot better than a bubble team. looking at sagarin and/or pomeroy. but w/out noel, their status is definitely 'iffy' right now.
bama, ole miss, UK are all "on the bubble." & is tennesse playing themselves into the conversation too? they will all be clawing hard for wins. gotta expect some rough tough games to close out the season.
tennessee is about 50 in sagarin, they need to jump up about 15 spots. beating us would help their status out alot.

Kentucky is garbage and we beat them by 20 plus points. Mizzou is just like Arky, they play like trash away from home. Don't be fooled by that UK win last night.

Either way we're in a very good position. All of our remaining games are very winnable and if we get some help along the way in the form of more Bama and UK losses we'll be fine. I see us having at least a piece the title wrapped up at the end of next week.

I'm confused. Which gives us a banner for the gym -- being regular season champ or SEC Tourney champ?

Both. But the regular season carries more weight than the tourney.

Bama gets easy, unbalanced SEC schedule.
Sorry if a dupe from the football forum.

There may be banners for both, but the official conference championship is claimed during the regular season.

Unbelievably easy. Play UF, Arky, Missouri and Mississippi only once. Arky and UK games at home.

So easy, it may actually cost them a NCAA bid.

The last thing I want is for the game @Rupp to come down to the SEC title...even though we are clearly the better team this year and should have our team at full strength, it's still Rupp...fans, refs, motivation, etc....we need to wrap up the title before then...unfortunately I have my doubts about tonight...
