He wanted the recruiting coordinator position and a raise. Coach Jones wouldn't give him the RC job, and Hart wouldn't give him a raise.
Good luck to him.

Word on the street is he really wants to coach at Bama, so he's following the Napier Method.

I think Butch Jones wants to bring Trooper back so Graham may have been nudged out the door. We struck on every rb Graham ever recruited.

I think this is a point worth noting. A lot of my fellow Vol fans are upset with how this went because Jay is an alum, great former player, etc. But, fact is, his recruiting at the RB position wasn't up to snuff.

So you're saying he fumbled away some key opportunities?

I'm glad we helped him to be such a key figure in Vollie ball history!
"7. 1995: No. 4 Florida 62 – No. 8 Tennessee 37 (Gainesville)
The one you absolutely can’t blame on Peyton Manning. The Vols went to Gainesville and jumped all over Florida, scoring in two plays on the opening drive to begin a run that culminated in a Raymond Austin return of a Danny Wuerffel fumble for a score that put the Vols up 30-14 late in the second quarter.
But the Gators scored before the half to pull closer, Tennessee missed a field goal to open the third quarter, it started raining—and everything went wrong.
Consecutive fumbles by Jay Graham started a Gator run that saw them take the lead in the blink of an eye. Then they simply kept scoring, putting 41 points up in the second half. Quite possibly the worst half of football in Tennessee history."

Graham also had a fumble returned for a touchdown in the '96 game. He was a good player but like Arian Foster his career was marred by some untimely fumbles.

How the hell was that ass whipping only #7 on that list? I'd hate to see #6.

He was at SC before last year. Maybe Spurrier felt sorry for him regarding the fumble thingy.

I'm pretty sure SOS isn't capable of feeling that emotion . . . . especially toward a competitor or even a former competitor.

Not a bad move, FSU definitely has more talent that UT at running back and they play against weak competition.

There should be an automatic investigation of any institution that hires Trooper Taylor. Guy is a dirtball supreme and it should scare the bejeesus out of anyone who hears his name mentioned with a job opening at their school. Especially any school desperate for a return to success.

Tennessee has filled the position with former Gator RB Robert Gillespie who had held the same position at West Virginia since 2011.
