Kipfer has moved Floyd from the #15 pick to #8 in his latest projections. The #1 pick overall is a major reach, I don't think that will happen, but top-5 is a possibility.

Am I getting giddy for no good reason?
Floyd has jumped to No.2 in a lot of mock drafts, where I saw Joekel as No.1
Now that KC has Smith (no need for a QB reach...) and tagged B.Albert (no need for a LT), is it beyond reason to think the Chiefs might consider Shariff at No.1 overall?
I suppose it's just great that we can even have that conversation, really...

Just shows these guys who put these mock drafts don't have a friggin. They moved Floyd up because rumors and leaks are coming out from the teams. They aren't scouts and have no idea what the hell they're talking about. McShay and Kiper are only as good as their sources.

Mayock is solid. If he loves Floyd, you can bet he'll be a high pick.

The same Mike Mayock who said the Lions should have drafted Aaron Curry, Jason Smith, or Eugene Monroe at #1 overall instead of Matt Stafford?

No analyst is perfect, but I think MM does the best job of articulating his opinions.

But didn't have him close to that high at all during the season. Funny how this works.

I doubt Kiper watches as much college football as half the posters on this board.

Questionable but athletic DE? Sure, why not. A DT? I highly doubt it. Anyways, I think he is a lock for the top 5.

Why would you doubt it? A DT that can clog the middle is not something all 32 teams have in the NFL.

If he had a Suh or Nick Fairley kind of highlight reel then maybe. There are glamour positions that get everyone buzzing. DT is about as valuable of a position as there is but I just don't see it. I have to go with one of the LTs that have been highly rated for the #1. JMHO
And don't worry, he will get a REAL nice contract from his draft position.

Don't be surprised if the Jags take Floyd with the 2nd pick.

I think it's either Floyd or Jordan.

I can't believe UF has never had a #1 overall pick. We're overdue!
Who's the highest we've had? Big Money at 3rd overall?

3rd overall 3 times: Warren in 2001, Wes Chandler in 1978, and Spurrier in 1967.
