Rumor; Strong chance fsu never leaves ACC

Their goal is for all the other schools to leave so they can proclaim themselves the ACC champions in every sport as well as receive all automatic bids.

For those of you who take things very seriously and want to give the facts as to why this can't happen, I am kidding...sort of. Nothing they would do to heap undeserved recognition on themselves would surprise me.

Actually, they have decided to join a new league that includes all on-line universities like Kaplan, Phoenix, and Strayer...FSU AD has said, "it is the future of college football. All games will be played on-line against the other instituitions and FSU is already scouting the best PS3 NCAA football gamers from last year." The AD has said, "we can significantly cut our costs and will no longer lose money going to bowl games each year. Also, it reduces injuries to our players except for the occasional carpel tunnel injury. Our odds of winning a national title will dramatically go up as well because no longer will we have to face NC State or Wake each year....although I did hear that Phoenix Univ. has a strong XBOX team so maybe I am getting ahead of myself!" FSU season tickets prices will remain the same at a cost of $5/game and the university feels the average attendance at Doak for a football game should easily fit into the auditorium to view the on-line games. The biggest challenge may be trying to get the stadium scoreboard moved inside for use as the video screen for the games..but the answer came quickly...we can use one of our circus tents.

Perhaps Jacksonville Univ will sponsor them for the Atlantic Sun if the ACC blows up? Or they could always join the big East. They'll take anyone.

Since we play them every year , I would like to see em in the SEC ! I guarantee they would yearly be 7-5 or worse !

With all joking aside, I really believe out of all the rumors of teams joining new conferences, FSU has the least chance.

Will the Big 10 dip into Florida? Imagine the traveling. Sure if they get GT they get the Atlanta market, but will FSU bring a TV market? I am sure getting into Florida for recruiting will be nice, but I don't see the benefit outweighing the costs. I don't think FSU will bring that much of a TV market to make it worthwhile.

Panhandle is Bama territory.

Tampa, Orlando and Jax tends to be Gator country. South Florida mixed, but not a FSU stronghold.

Same with Big 12. Long distance to travel. No other closer schools. I think the costs outweigh the benefit.

Unless the SEC picks up FSU, they will just die on the vine.
