Official Final: Florida - 60 vs Missouri - 63, Tuesday, 9:00 PM, ESPN
The second road game in the last three days sees the Gators travel to Columbia Mo. to take on the Missouri Tigers for a return engagement. I think there is little doubt the Tigers have this game circled on their calender after the 83-52 shellacking Florida put on them the first time around in Gainesville. In that game the Tigers were without one of their key players plus they were on the road so I expect a bit tougher test for our guys this go around. A win on the road to a good team, who may also make it to the NCAA Tournament, would really look good for the Gators. It would also go a long way toward the goal of winning the regular season SEC title. With Missouri currently four games behind Florida another loss here would just about assure them being out of the race. The Gators are in the driver's seat with respect to how the league will play out they just need to keep the hammer down, so to speak.
Go Gators!!

If we show up like we did at Arky we lose by 20. Simple as that. they will blow us out of the gym. That said, IMO we should win by double digits again if we play the kind of ball we have played in pretty much every win

Remember the start of our last game which resulted in the Gators pummeling Auburn at their place.
It was loud and 14,000 cheering the Tigers on and after the first 10 minutes that place became silent. Gators need to throw the knock-out punch early and show them who is KING of the SEC.
Worst Auburn loss since 1952.

You have to hand it to the Auburn students. They show up even when their team is terrible.

Yes they do show up. The announcer even said something like the fans do their job at Auburn now it's time the team learn to step it up and play better.

This will be tough to win. They have only been soundly beaten by ranked teams and seem to be on par with the better SEC teams.

This team needs to show they can win against a good team on the road. So far they've only had 2 chances to show that and they lost both. This is as much of a must win as this team is going to have in the regular season.

That's because all the books in the library were already colored.

I think the Arkie game was an abherration, but we definitely got a big game tonight at Mizzou.
I think we come to play tonight, but I'm not sure if we get the win.
I hope the Gators prove me wrong though.

We can't let them show up like Arky did at Arky. Honestly, we didn't play that bad at Arkansas. Arkansas just came out white hot. If any team comes out like Arky did that night, it'll be a long night for the Gators no matter what.

I agree with those who say we need to start fast. Mizzou is an immature team and does not respond well to adversity. They fell apart in gainesville. If we jump on them, those memories will come flooding back and wash away any confidence in different outcome. And it will hush the crowd.

I'm not expecting a win tonight. I think we're going to lose one of our remaining games and this is by far the toughest matchup and environment we'll face from here on out in the regular season.
I would be very happy to be wrong though.

Through 7 deep, I think we have the better player at every position:
Starting Lineup & Bench Players for the game tonight:
Missouri------------------------------------Florida
Laurence Bowers F 6'8"/227-------------Erik Murphy F 6'10"/238
Alex Oriakhi C 6'9"/255-------------------Patric Young C 6'9"/249
Phil Pressey G 5'11"/175-----------------Scottie Wilbekin G 6'2"/176
Keion Bell G 6'4"/200----------------------Kenny Boynton G 6'2"/190
Jabari Brown G 6'5"/205------------------Mike Rosario G 6'3"/183
Ernest Ross G 6'5"/222-------------------Michael Frazier II G 6'4"/200
Tony Criswell F 6'9"/240------------------Casey Prather F 6'6"/210
Ryan Rosbury F 6'10"/250----------------Devon Walker F 6'6"/191
I expect both teams to play most of the game with a 7 deep bench. Tell me any player Mizzou has that you would take over our player.
Florida 68
Missouri 65
Even without Yeguete, we'll get the win. On home or neutral courts, we'd blow them away again. Mizzou hasn't lost a home game since last February. That run will end tonight.

I think at UT will be a tougher matchup. The vols frontcourt will give us a rough time plus we don't usually play well in Knoxville. If the vols can get Young and Murphy into foul trouble, we'll lose the game. That can be said of every game until Yeguete gets back, but UT has the frontline that can put Young and Murphy on the bench with foul trouble.
