Thanks I agree with everything he sai except voter turnout elected Obama.I think the Dems now have enough parasites in their bases to win elections despite economic and social conditions within these parasitic groups. One reason, is an unwillingness to except anything which is perceived as rational thought, in other words, stupid by choice.

It was pretty much common knowledge that what has kept things somewhat in balance for a long time was that the ignorant were whiners but politically unmotivated. When the Democrats passed Motor Voter, it was a clear attempt to get the stupid vote. With Obama, they are now motivated and just as stupid. If there are many more of those than the folks who want to learn what is really happening and make informed decisions, regardless of if it is progressive or conservative in nature, then we are pretty much defined as a country. I have said to my wife many times that in a war, a well trained and disciplined group can overwhelm a much larger but unorganized and undisciplined (or unprincipled) one, but not in an election with one man/one vote.

Outside of the partisan political blather, hanging with George Will had to be an interesting and enlightening experience. Good stuff.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. One of my high school friends went to Harvard and had Will as his professor for a basic history class his freshman year. I was pretty envious.

Nice.
No, what has actually happened is 30 years of policies designed to destroy the middle class has turned those formerly reliable, blue collar religious voters against them.
Their assembly plants have been closed and they can't find good jobs to replace them because they've all been moved to Asia.

And what has Obama done for the middle class? As Biden so forcefully put it "the last 4 years the middle class has been absolutely crushed".

Or Obama, which was you original point. Of course I should have realized it is pointless to expect you to respond to facts with facts.

It doesn't bother me at all, just explaining the difference for those that seem to struggle to understand it.

I saw him speak a few years ago on a panel and thought he was pretty impressive. Needless to say, it wasn't too much like a classic Moc post.

Yes, it was pretty good. He touched on the whole parasite thing, which is good. And he wrongly used the word 'except' in a sentence in which he calls others stupid, which is great. But I would have liked to have seen the word 'minions' in there somewhere. The use of 'minions' would have taken this post to the next level.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president." Author Unknown

Sorry man, I was a numbers guy in college. My fellow engineer buddy once told me, numbers make my wallet fat and that wallet will crush my inadequacies. My point was taken. The Dems have become the party of parasites, plain and simple.
