Official Final: Florida - 83 vs Auburn - 52, Saturday, 1:30 PM, SEC Network
After a highly emotional win over Kentucky on Tuesday night the Gators take to the road for the next two match-ups. The first stop is at Auburn for a game against the Tigers who have a current record of 9-15 overall and 3-8 in the league. The only good win since the SEC season started for Auburn is a 49-37 win over Bama. I didn't see that game but judging by the score it must have been a pretty ugly one and it brings back memories of our game against them two seasons ago. In that game, which was a win, the Gators had a season low scoring outing of 45 points due to a 5-26 three point shooting night. I can safely say we would take another win but would like to see a better showing by our guys.
In my opinion this is a game the team needs to go into with an intent to start strong and not let their foot off of the gas. While we don't need any more losses at all we sure as heck don't need to lose a game against a team with as poor a record as Auburn has. Arkie was bad enough but they have a decent record along with only one loss all year at home and they could turn out to have a fair season before it is over. We're on the downhill side of our SEC season with only 7 games remaining in regular league play. Here's hoping the Gators finish strong.

Glad we had a few days to come down from that emotional high. Hopefully allowed them to refocus.

I think the fact that this is the first road game after UAR should have this team not over looking AU.
BTW, it would be nice if UK loses at UTn tomorrow and SoCar beat UAL at UAL. Martin blowing up this week would make me worried a bit about that game if I were a UAL fan. Teams often respond to coaches getting that mad with more effort. SoCar just may not have the talent. We shall see.

Of these saturday/tuesday/saturday games, I worry more about the following tuesday game. To me, 3 days rest is perfect from a tuesday to a saturday. only 2 days to prep for the next team , imo, isnt so great.

Then you must think that Tuesday night followed by Saturday early followed by Tuesday night is about perfect. UF has a bit less time off on the on the Tuesday-Saturday part this week, but a bit more time off in the Saturday-Tuesday part.

The Crack 10 (PAC 10) and BIG TEN INCH sometimes play their games on a Thursday/Sat or Thursday/Sunday slate...
As long as we are well-prepared, rested, and healed (healing) I don't care...
I want to see how MF2 and CaseyP show up in an away game...mindset is important (treat it like a NCAA tourney game)...the place may be packed...as what else is there to do on the plains in Alabama?

Hall: Thank you for the astute comments and thread information. As always - superb!
It will be interesting to see how we play against an obvious weaker opponent.
Go Gators!

I think we'll win, but I'm not sure it's going to be a blowout. Which is fine. The more this team is tested, the better IMO.

Do you know if for a Saturday-Tuesday tilt where both games are away (like what we are about to go through), does the team even bother going back to UF or do they go straight from Auburn to Mizzou? It just seems it would be a waste to head back to campus because by the time you land and get rested, you will almost have to fly right back out for Mizzou....
