This team just isn't going to hit well enough to overcome Crawford getting hit hard and making errors in key situations. Hopefully they can recover and win the weekend.

Get used to this as it is going to be a very long year. Going to be a struggle to score runs with this lineup. Perhaps weakest lineup in a long time.

we all need to show some maturity; character testing season from the looks of it. plays we took for granted the last few seasons, may be the ones we celebrate this year.

Didn't see or hear any of the game, but it sounds like way too many pop outs/fly outs for a small ball team. Gonna need to work on that

to reiterate: we all need to display some maturity - for this season,....starting 'now'. learn to take things in stride. realize it's just a passing. let things go.

we've all been frustrated from time to time. lost our temper. no one is a complete saint in that regard. some handle it better than others. learn from them. we've all also been shown alot of latitude for our misgivings. most here have not just showed up. most have been here thru thick and thin. alot have earned that latitude that is sometimes bestowed.

now, back to the ballgame. lift yourself up, brush the dirt off, get back into the game.

probably need everyone to be stronger than a typical/usual season. who know? might still be a great season. lots of baseball to be played. then again, this may be a season to set the foundation for next year. and sully knows this and will use this year a a training season. gotta learn to win, though - that's the best training.

on the first glance, 'live' i thought for sure he was safe.

but on the replay he was out by about 4 inches. good play by duke. took picture perfect relay throws to get the out.

The last 3 years we won the season opener and lost our final game of the season. I am perfectly fine with losing the season opener and winning the final game of the postseason!!

There is a ton of baseball to be played!!!

Didn't read this entire thread; and while I'm disappoint in the performance and result I'm not surprised.
A key mistake here, a good play by the opposition there, a rally that comes up short and that's how baseball goes.
When Thompson quit and Whitson got shelved we knew we'd been placed in a rough spot
This is a learning year (for the team and some fans), as hard as that is to accept.

Tomorrow is another day. Take 2 and we're in good shape.
Long long season ahead...
