Daub is from Florida, I never expected him to commit so early in the first place, and I would never say he was anything other than a possibility to end up a Tiger when all is said and done.
Now, if you would like to compare apples to apples, look at Lorenzo Phillips, a Louisiana kid who actually "committed" to UF before ultimately flipping to LSU once the full court press was put on by Les.
Who is the last player to sign with UF from Louisiana that LSU wanted...Ernie Badeaux?
The point is, it has been a long, long time and UF is going to actually have to demonstrate the ability to do it before one can assume it is going to happen.

We do more damage in Texas than A&M has ever done Louisiana.

That's very good, I like that.

It is often a waste of resources, but because there's better talent in Florida and Georgia, even comperable talent in Bama, NC, etc lately. If a player is worth WM's time, he'll go after him.
I mean look at the guy you're hanging your hat on, Lorenzo Phillips. He wasn't even in the Rivals 250 and would have been one of the lower rated LB's we've taken in awhile. He was a reach who wanted a gator offer.
You sound like a cane fan with their "fence around S Fl" garbage. Don't get cocky corndog.

I am having no trouble Florida did not care about Philips. They weren't even giving him attention. You were real excited when you got Daub and your staff was all over him

still working on this top targets list but the more film I watch the less likely I think Florida waits on CB's like Jalen Tabor & Adoree' Jackson. There are so many good corners in Georgia and Florida this year I would rather lock them up the wait on these national recruits.

Lot to respond to here.
First, Louisiana produces more NFL talent than any other state on a per capita basis, so to say there is "better" talent in another state is patently false.
Regarding Phillips here are the facts, he was a 4 star linebacker (consensus), a member of the ESPNU 150 and Top 247 by 247Sports.com, UF recruited Phillips, it offered him a scholarship which he accepted when he committed, and he ultimately signed with LSU when Miles turned up the heat. Anything else is simple sour grapes on your part.
Here's another fact, neither UF nor A&M has beaten LSU for any Louisiana player this century. Until that actually happens, predictions to the contrary are nothing more than hope on your part and hope doesn't concern us.
As I mentioned several times already, Daub is irrelevant, he's a Florida kid, my point was about Louisiana HS players. I don't know how to put that in any simpler terms.

Did you get excited when Duab committed? Nobody cared about Phillips even the coaches. Why would anybody have sour grapes about Phillips most here dont even know who he is?

I see, you like ESPN's rankings since they prop up your corner sized LB. Lets analyze that Top 150 2012 class.
FLorida - 28 players
Texas - 24 players
Louisiana - 4 players
I won't list Alabama and Ga., but it's way more than 4.
Then you have:
Louisiana players who went to LSU (#125, and Phillips #135)
Louisiana players who didn't (#6 Colllins to Alabama, #77 Davis to Texas)
So.
A. You'e not keeping your top talent in state
B. Now we know why you're a fan of a 195# LB. He's the second best player ya'll convinced to stay in state.
B. Louisiana isn't the most talent rich state even in your wildest wetdreams. Regardless of what per capita NFL stat you find.
You are correct though, Florida hasn't pulled kids out of La. lately. Now we know why. Not many Brock Berlins and Ike Hilliards around these days.

I see revisionist history is alive and well.
Let's stick with the facts, shall we. Here we go:
Phillips was a 4 star linebacker (consensus), a member of the ESPNU 150 and Top 247 by 247Sports.com, UF recruited Phillips, it offered him a scholarship which he accepted when he committed, and he ultimately signed with LSU when Miles turned up the heat. Anything else is simple sour grapes on your part.
The suggestion that UF's coaches wouldn't care about a player they recruited, offered a scholarship to, and took a commitment from, is simply moronic.
One more time, and as I mentioned several times already, Daub is irrelevant to this discussion, he's a Florida kid, my point was about Louisiana HS players. I don't know how to put that in any simpler terms.

How is Daub irrelevant when obviously you cared about him? No sour grapes on Phillps Miles might turned up the heat but Florida didnt. This happens all the time. Staffs get a commit from a kid they take it an many times are indifferent about him or change their mind later. The fan base never even knew who he was.

I did. But when you start to look at monsters like Morrison, you tend to forget about the lil guy. Kind of like our staff did.
Ubers point basically is Muschamp brushed off Phillips and Miles made him a top target. Real big shocker he stayed in state. lol.
What a joke.

Moronic? Ask Lornenzo II, ie, Quinton Powell if coaches cool on commited undersized linebackers.
Your statement above is moronic.

My statement is not an opinion, it is an objective fact.

Louisiana and Mississippi, which rank 25th and 31st in population, respectively, send more players per-person to the NFL than other states.

http://thedailyviz.com/2012/04/19/ma...ers-come-from/
Once again, facts are facts, and the fact is Louisiana produces more NFL players on a per capita basis than any other state, and by and large LSU gets whoever it wants in Louisiana on yearly basis.

If that makes you feel better to believe that, than so be it.
The facts are as outlined above, your opinions are what they are, and the two would seem to be mutually exclusive.

What a retarded stat. So if Rhode Island gets a couple of players to the NFL, everyone in the country should start recruiting there? GTFO.
4 players in the top 150! Barely.
