THANK YOU FOR A SANE RESPONSE. I mean it.
I must say, that some of our responses are driven by some football memory or of a pro stadium, where the nearest hospital is 80 miles through traffic. We have a virtual straight line...ON CAMPUS ...to the premier hospital in the region.

Where is the POLARIS FOUR WHEELER that we could outfit with pillows on the tires so it could drive on the court for all the bodies that pile up on basketball day?
Seriously. I know everybody here is gung ho GATORS...except the trolls, but we seem to "expect" everything, everywhere, no matter the cost.
WHAT's next?...a covered practice field, massage parlor and juice bar?
with a red elephant on it...
brb...huh?
They do? Well, we use our highway money for highways, and...building classrooms next to erector sets in Tallahassee, and funding airplanes for head coaches named Bowden to illegally use state planes for recruiting and such. Much better.
Finally, if the cause for concern is lack of X-ray devices near the snack bar, relax.
We are buying the surgery module used in PROMETHEUS to be installed at the O-DOME so the two minute drive time to SHANDS can be eliminated.

Which begs the question of why we don't have an MRI set up at the ODOME ?

I am kidding of course. We all know it is already set up at the Tennis court.

Actually, I thought it strange he had to be carried off, but if you remember when Prather and Yuegette where hurt they hobbled to the locker room. Someone mentioned that the UK trainers waived off the UF Staff. I'm sure if they had asked for a gurney of some sort it would have been available.
My son tore his ACL and was able to hobble around after the initial pain wore off.

And this thread isn't about basketball or Deus machina or Oedipus complexes or whatever..
THIS is a hospital equipment thread and the correct availability thereof. Apparently, some of the staff on call in Lexington or Louisville or Harlan County, raised legitimate questions about the correct procedures being administered and many worth Gator supporters, at their own expense and usage of their time, have volunteered precise directions of where these complaints may be deposited. What thread are you on?

When a response starts with a grammar/typo critique, well, its not off to a great start.

My response was apt for a very large number of posts in this this thread and its dominant theme.

ha..ok. I give Rem. But...that was a joke. Since you critiqued my joke making, I NOW , lol , feel obligated to respond. Emmitto thinks your response to the quality of MY response, was way over the top. I tried reasoning with him but he said, kinda...STEVO, IF THEY CAN DO THAT TO YOU, what will the premier posters on Catspause do?

p.s. of course you are correct. However , admonishing GATORS on a GATOR site, against ANY denomination of opponents's said hyperbolic responses in cyberspace are at least an uphill battle. Personally, I don't care anything for opponents fans , no matter How nice they are. I am deriding the surprise that we used little concern, too few resources in assisting an athlete, and the ultimate shock that expensive equipment is not available all over the campus, because we feel it should be so.
I really don't care for spelling corrections either. But, when lecturing the class on behavior and using big words...do the homework first.
Keep smiling. This is all in fun.

Huh? Just because you aren't aware of it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Here's the second link that popped up when I searched "X-ray return". Make sure you tell the Giants that A) Doing X-rays during games is stupid, B) There's a hospital right next door, what d-asses for having a machine on site!!, C) Bradshaw didn't "need" the X-ray, because clearly nothing was broken. Or whatever it is you're trying to say here.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...o-locker-room/

Ahmad Bradshaw has gone to the locker room for x-rays on his right foot in the third quarter of the Giants’ matchup with the Dolphins at the Meadowlands. His return is being called questionable. Bradshaw had 10 carries for 39 yards before leaving the game. Jacobs has fumbled one handoff (he recovered) and dropped a pass in an uninspiring outing thus far.

He’s heard plenty of boos as a result. So have the Giants as a unit as they trail the winless Dolphins 17-10 with two minutes to go in the third quarter.

UPDATE: Bradshaw returned to the sideline for a moment, but then headed back to the locker room with medical personnel after being shown his x-rays.

UPDATE 2: Bradshaw is back in the game with under nine minutes to play in the fourth quarter.

I have this on VERY good authority. Duke Werner immediately went to the fallen player and asked the KY trainers if there was anything he could do or anything they needed. This is what they said to him, "Get the hell away from here." Not, "No thanks we got it," or "Stand by we'll let you know," but "Get the hell away from here." Hard to believe.

The UF training staff was dumbfounded. They followed them into the hall after he was carried off (without supporting his injured leg which was dangling) and saw him outside the locker room sitting on the floor in the hall next to the door by himself, waiting on who knows what.

From a manager's/trainer's perspective, KY was extremely supportive and accommodating when Tim was hurt in Lexington, which is what our staff was prepared to do Tuesday until waved off by the KY trainers.

This comes from an inside source who shall remain nameless.

You are obviously correct. X-rays are part of the in-game assessments every NFL team uses to determine the severity of an injury. The only reason for this is to determine if the player can return to the game. There would be no reason for NFL stadiums to have x-ray machines otherwise.

In the case of Noel, taking x-rays at the O Dome would be pointless, as it was obvious he couldn't return to the game.

In the case of Noel, taking x-rays at the O Dome would be pointless, as it was obvious he couldn't return to the game.
For the love of all that's holy.

Yes, dang, I know, agree, and have acknowledged your point waaaaay back. I know you're only trying to be helpful here. The rest of this is for those who still can't comprehend X-ray machines at games.

This shall be my last post on this cluster-thread. This is as easy as it'll get, although if you're still confused at this point then I'm pretty sure confusion is just your lot in life.

1) Many sports venues have X-ray machines on site.
2) Many of these venues are essentially next door to a hospital, as is UF (minus the machine.) Like Met Life Stadium. And Rupp. And dozens more.
3) O-Dome has no X-ray machine. Mildly surprising to me.
4) UF uses nearby Shands. Perfectly valid plan.
5) Noel received excellent treatment, as far as I know.
6) Noel's treatment and the fact that many facilities have X-ray machines are only casually related.

That's what all the defensiveness is about.

Good luck and good day.

Rupp Just recently got theirs. That's whats so funny about them complaining. It's like Iraq bragging about being "democratic".

This is the second time I've heard this and it's unfortunate.

What's the unfortunate part, that you heard it, or that it happened? Lends credibility if you've heard the same thing from a separate source.

The KY people need to investigate this and find out what the hell went on there and why. I would be incensed if this happened with our guys.

The response by Stevo to my post raised the needle on my sarcasm meter so I just let it go. That you are corroborating the story from another source makes it the real story coming out of this event, IMO. It turns this entire thread into useless speculation.

Emmitto and REM should be very concerned about this and this should be the focus of their attention if they care at all about the kids who come to their school to play for the Cats.
