Flex Fuel
This may not be the right forum for this question, but it's the I'm the most familiar with.
Any experience with using flex fuel in a new vehicle-E250 cargo van. Thanks.

B20 or E85? B20 is fine in just about any diesel vehicle. If you have a gas motor I dont see the sense in E85. There's no real break in price but your mileage will suck. Less energy is a gallon of ethanol than gasoline. Also refer to your owners manual concerning biofuels, particularly ethanol. Older fuel systems are not compatible with ethanol.

Droid has an app "E-Zero" to find pure fuel. Just downloaded it.

The only place you"ll find e85 is probably on the Florida Turnpike. Otherwise you can use 87 octane.

Ethanol is just another rediculous scam perpetrated on the American people by our government. It does not reduce our dependency on oil because you lose any advantage with the pisspoor mileage. It has raised the cost of corn which is great for corn farmers but bad for everyone else. And it is detrimental to most engines.

Well, to be more precise, it was a fraud perpetrated by the large corn factories, their lobbyists and their congressmen. Other countries have done a good job with ethanol; just not with corn.

If you want a real alternative fuel and you have a station nearby  , get a vehicle that runs on natural gas.
