I believe we will win a title in the next 2 yrs. Gammel is our only senior and this team has speed at the top of the lineup now (Stewart/Merrit), power up and down the lineup plus one of the best pitching staffs in the country. In the past we have been able to clobber other teams with our power game, but in the WCWS we would run into a dominant pitcher that we had a lot of trouble scoring on. I think Walton has recruited accordingly and we have the elements to overcome dominant pitching. Their on base percentage against the quality of teams they played last weekend is ridiculous! It's early and slumps will come, but that was a very encouraging start.

Kelsey Horton is a senior and very important member of the team on offense and defense. She batted in the 3 or 4 slot and made an unbelievable play throwing out a runner at 3rd base from right field in the Arizona game when the game was still relatively close.

My Bad! You're right, Horton is also a SR. Eyesight, not so good - got to have my glasses on and sometimes I don't.

My prediction still stands,even with 2 seniors. This team is really dialed in already, Walton has them working together the right way! I didn't mean to belittle Kelsey's contributions, she is absolutely a great Gator!

And the recruits lined up for the next 3 seasons are all top notch. Gourley, lefty pitcher out of California comes next season and she may be the top player in her class. There's also a lefty hitter, kvistad, who is just a junior, but she will be feared by everyone once she steps on campus. Everyone was after her as well.
