The cake was made with Dubbel Beer. Could definitely taste it but it blended well with the bitter chocolate.

Which one did you enjoy the most Ray? I've only tasted the Hopslam. Still have a couple stashed away.
Driving through Vermont in early May to pick up my daughter from college. Might have to pick up some Heady Topper for the ride back, assuming there's any room in the car.

I love them all, but the hopslam really hit the spot last night. The honey really came out, it was a very nice night cap. Tasted much better than the one from last week. Likely because I was feeling really good, ha!
I think the Pliny was the best though. It's always a coin flip with it and HT for me. But the Hopslam was a nice change of flavor, and I really enjoyed it.

Started off with a Sweetwater 420 while making sushi and now having Bell's Black Note stout for dessert. It's very good but I think I like BCBS better.

Happy Valentines Day to Me!
After no luck at all the craft beer stores, I made a last ditch effort to find some Hopslam on the way home for lunch. Stopped in a liquor store down the street that carries a very limited but solid supply of craft beer. BINGO! Picked up 12! I debated getting more, but I'm sure there are others on the prowl who will be just as excited to find it.
The old guy behind the register thought I was a little crazy for paying 16.99 for a 6 pack of beer. haha

My girlfriend is a landscaper and because of that I ended up at a moonshine tasting tonight. Had about 7 different kinds, but my favorite was the "aged" one. 5 years old and boy did it burn so good.
Now it's time for beer

16.99 is cheap for hosplam. We were selling it for 17.49 and most places had it for 20.

Onto one of my all time favorites. Founders Breakfast Stout.
I tried to upload a quick pic on my phone using imageshack, but couldn't get it to work

Bought mine yesterday and the bottle date is 1-28. Does it really get worse every day that goes by, or is it just that much better as soon as its bottled?

The hops tend to fade over time but you don't need to funnel it all down over the weekend. i wouldn't recommend stashing a few over time and expect it to get better if hoppy beers are your thing.
