Braves at Disney....
Going to be in Orlando next Sunday and would like to pop in and watch some practice.
I've never been and I can't seem to find practice info anywhere online.
Does anyone have any advice, especially with times for different things?
Thanks,
OJ

I've never been to see them in Orlando, as I stay in the Tampa Bay area, but I am a vet of spring training games. I know they play and practice at the Wide World of Sports complex
Here's a nice detailed overview of the stadium and games

Someone else will have to fill you in on the practice times. Though at least here the major leaguers tend to practice in the mornings, even on the weekend, and the minor leaguers get the afternoons

Is it possible to watch MLB spring practice without paying for a gameday ticket?

I know, I looked for you after posting OJ. A few teams, like the Phillies and others, mention their practice times generally.
Like I said it's common practice for Major Leaguers to be in the mornings. You can always call the stadium and find out.

Yes, practices are free, as long as they are on open practice fields and not inside the stadium

That stadium at Disney is a beautiful old style stadium. It doesn't have the history of spring training stadiums like Dodger Town but certainly has the right atmosphere.

The Phillies stadium in Clearwater is my favorite by far. I'm a Yankee fan but typically go to the games in Clearwater instead of the Yankee stadium in Tampa. Sorry Allison

I just booked my spring training trip this year....I am making it over to the west coast of FL for the first time finally!! Being a big Braves fan, I am going to Dunedin to see them play TOR, then going to Clearwater for Phillies-Red Sox, then Sarasota for Orioles-Red Sox, and then on the way home to Jax Im going to hit up Lakeland for Tigers-Braves....so stoked!!

Brighthouse field is nice, bro. Always see Phillies fans out partyrockin' after their spring training games.
Can't wait to see the Rays new additions, Wil Myers and Jake Odorizzi. David Price was already on twitter posting pictures from Port Charlotte.

Try these Twitter sites for info:
@DisneySports
@Braves
Typically players arrive between 8-8:30 am and practices start at 9 am or so.
Early on especially - most big leaguers are gone by 12:30 - 1 pm.

I helped open the Wide World of Sports and worked the first baseball game they had in the stadium. While helping move a table into the Reds locker room, I opened a door and hit Dion Sanders upside the head with it. If I had only known he was on the other side, it would have opened much harder...
It was 8 bucks to get into the complex back then but up to 14.50 now for adults. Call 407 939 GAME for the ticket office and they may be able to tell you what you can and can't see.
First homerun I saw there was by Greg Maddox in batting practice before that first game against the Reds.
I like the Joke in Lakeland better as it has more of the old time spring training feel to it.
May go to a few Orioles or Pirates games this year as I am over that way now.
