So where does the $200 come in? You sound pretty confused.

I've been infatuated about once every other month for a majority of the 31 years I've been married. I had a legitimate shot at some and had to be the brakeman on a few. All in all I feel pretty damned good about how I handled it all.

Good question.

The $200 was sort of a joke. I don't presume to know that this "girl" (she is probably in her 30's or late 20's) is in need of money and even if she was it wouldn't be right to hand it to her as if she was a hooker.

She isn't.

At least, I don't think she is.

I thought it was really cool she talked to me. I am not a beauty contest winner, most guys get the girls over me, but for whatever reason there is a small segment of girls who notice me a little bit. There is one at work who does that and it is weird almost because there are way better looking guys than me at work and some of them flirt with her and yet she rebuffs them with the coolest of ease.

She just sent me an email that was, if I am not mistaken, a bit flirtatious. It was an out of the blue compliment. I replied kindly but I am not interested in her as a side thing. Too messy. She is a work friend and that is it.

I tried to forget the Vet Girl but couldn't help looking her up on FB. And when I did I was hooked. I saw a few things on her FB site that ... I don't know ... made me think she's kind of like me. It made me think this was a little more than casual conversation for her at work with some guy she doesn't know.

I would love to just make her smile for Val Day.

That would be cool.

Val day is 2 days and a few hours away.

I remember the good ole' days posting in the Pub and some of the threads back in the day.

Cecil is the only poster I remember that produced a hall of fame thread similar to this one but much better. It was another classic thread that produced many replies. He frequented a strip club and fell in love with one of the dancers while his significant other was away and got carried away writing about her in an inebriated state of mind. Funny all-time classic!

How many of you remember that one? Cecil's legend lives on.
